Corporate IP Address Question

Hey all IT experts and sifus,

My company has 100 ports and all employees suppose to come in and plug their computer into a port at a random available desk to start working. We will need to sign in to access the internet via our corporate server. Our company assign an dynamic IP to each computers. I can also set my own IP. However, I found out that there is a second proxy server that I can use without logging in. I just log in to sent an anonymous gmail to scold my boss and he saw me sitting on seat 1. Can my company log trace my ip address back to the port at seat 1 since
I didn’t log in to the network?

Help me!

My fren works in a very proper 2,000 staff MNC in manufacturing industry in Penang and his boss is the head of IT. I think the current concern is what is in the log. From the log, would we know the physical location of Port 1(as in it is send from table 1)? Would you also log the PC name? or just its internal randomly assigned ip address? If my boss forward this email to google, would google bother to provide him with the ip address to confirm that it is send out from the Company’s server?

If the boss is smart enough, can he retrieve the password from the internet and go into my friend’s email address and see for his own? My friend just lost access of his email, password stolen. If that is the case, can my friend go to MCMC to file a complain that his boss has stolen his password and sue him in the court of law?

Appreciate any comments to focus on the technical aspects and not the content of the email.

How to reallocate partition?

My laptop is having 80GB HDD, I have separate it to 2 partition which is 35 and 40.

C drive for 35 GB
D drive for 40 GB

I just find out it inot sufficient for 35GB for C drive, i would like to transfer the capacity from D drive to C Drive.

Hi,

Anyone have any ideas about my problems as below? Please advise and help if you are using this way or have any experience..

I am using HP laserjet 1020 and HP Deskjet 4185, both of the printer is using USB port to connect for printing.

I would like to connect it to my wireless router and make it become something like network printer, what should i do?

As i remember, it should be using a small device to connect with router, but i have no ideas what is that.....
