Anyone got job offer from yayasan / foundation?

I was headhunted from LinkedIn to send a resume for interview session with this yayasan, 100% owned by ministry of higher education.

To think of there is so many yayasan in the country (Yayasan Johor, Sabah, Khazanah, etc.) what do you think of working in this sector?

Currently work in one of Badan Berkanun and preparing for an upgrade to Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam. My question would be:

1) Can you shorten your notice period?
- Scenario: Your contract allow you to tender within 30 days period or pay 1 month salary. Suddenly, offer letter comes and need to report duty in 14 days time. Can you shorten the notice without paying any penalty?

2) Taking leave prior to actual 'report duty' date
- Scenario: Let say u start on 1 Mac and u got the offer letter on 20th Feb. If you use justification 'shorten notice period due to moving house, marriage etc.' does it justifiable and approve-able?

3) Has anyone done 1 out of 2 above and successful?

Planning to buy furnitures and house deco like below:

Jan '18 - Bed & Mattress
Feb '18 - Master Wardrobe
Mac '18 - Dining Table
Apr '18 - Other Wardrobe
Mc '18 - Cupboard, gaming station etc.

Do you think it's worth it to order direct from Lazada or go to IKEA instead?

In long run I think better to go IKEA becoz membership discount, amex point etc.

But somehow Lazada item quite cheap.

What's your advice?

p/s: Cannot buy all in one month due to farmer's salary

Stupid boss keep threatening

My boss resigned recently and become only 'advisor' in the company without any power.

Problem is the boss keep scolding me and new staff, controlling the office flow and I keep asking me some unfinished business that I should do. Well the higher superior always busy with other things...

I really keen to break any good r'ship with him but now still in the dark whether this boss is the one doing appraisal or not. Heard that this guy will do it.

Should I step that line, or just avoid the problem keeping quiet? Deep inside me believe that 'rezeki is everywhere'

I'm not type of creating enemy to people...

Interview Offer but must get consent

Received an offer for interview but the clause in the offer makes me ponder

"You need to get sign approval from your current employer prior attending this interview"

By doing so:

1) Wouldn't current employer know my plan of 'running away'?
2) What happen if fail interview? Do you think employer can forgive for fleeing attempt?
3) If so, what can I do to minimize damage?

Selling my condo tips?

Hello, need some advice here.

My current tenant (Expat) will be leaving at end of October and I was thinking of selling the unit because so tired every year need to find replacement my monthly is around RM1800

A bit about the house:

1) 1 Borneo condo is connected to 1 Borneo mall, so selling point is there
2) Cannot cope to pay that anymore since have more commitment nowadays. I need more saving
3) Consulted Faizul Ridzuan and he give me a range that how much buyers willing to buy that unit but finding buyers is another thing...

What do you think of selling such unit? Or should I continue rent it out until next year? (2018 is anniversary of 5 years ownership, can discard RPGT if I'm not mistaken)

PEPERIKSAAN ONLINE MEMASUKI PERKHIDMATAN PEGAWAI EKSEKUTIF GRED 41 (PENGAMBILAN LEMBAGA HASIL DALAM NEGERI MALAYSIA)

Just sharing on some earlier experience attending SPA-ish interview:

Stage 1: Online Assesment. This one you can do with friends & family. I dont trust group with other candidate as they may give you wrong answer 'intentionally' (survival of the fittest yo)

Stage 2: Fitness & Group Assessment. Bleep test, bending test, benchpress and blood pressure. Hardest will be group assessment - need to talk in front of people and panel.

Stage 3: Final interview. As long as you can go up to here, I believe u are in the service already.

- Don't buy crap e-book. Just google IQ test, read about tax basic and you are ready.

Any sharing from you guys?

Honeymoon weii at Cameron highland

So I plan to go honeymoon there during not school holiday time. Wanna get suggestion from fellow highlanders:

1. Any hotel with greenery view of tea garden? Most pic i see only can view forest and building only. Something like in the picture where u sip tea and view garden all day long

2. Maybe treat myself to 1-2 night at the lakehouse (quite expensive yo but dunno worth it or not)

3. Heard that got complimentary massage at some of 5 star hotel (even batin masage thou at YTL hotel something). True?

4. What else..any hotel with jacuzzi bathtub? So can have wild session in water (read: nuru session 😏)
