How to setup a centralized system backup in LAN?

Can anyone tell or tech me how to configure a centralized backup system in LAN environment? if possible I would like to know the way in WAN environment as well.

RAM Problems

Just need to enquiry some question regards to the RAM....

From my motherboard A8N-SLI Deluxe, my board can actually support up to 4gb of RAM for 4 slot with 1gb each.

I wish to upgrade to 4gb but i was acknowledge by a technician which i may not get 4gb out of the ram, I understand and my motherboard manual saying I can not get 4gb due to chipset problem.

But how much do I get actually?

Because I was shocked that he tells me I might get 2gb only, that is why I need to verify the issues.

Can anyone tell me how much I get if I upgrade to 4gb? anyone experience this before?

Network Problems

Hi,

I would like to ask regards to the printer sharing, I have difficulties to config the printer in 2 network.

The structure is like this

C1 - computer 1
C2 - computer 2
L1 - laptop 1
R1 - router 1
S1 - switch 1
P1 - printer 1

Ok, the situation is like this
L1 --->R1 <--- C1 ---> S1 <--- C2 ---> P1

I am using Laptop 1 to connect with my Router 1. So I can see Computer 1 now! because computer 1 also connect to Router 1.

Then,

My computer 1 actually attach with a Switch, so Computer 1 can see Computer 2 as well my Laptop 1.

Finally,...

My Computer 2 has a printer attach to it!

My question is....

Why my laptop 1 can not connect to the printer?

Is it because we actually can only see all the divices on the router only?

But then I can not get the switch to connect my router directly because too far, I needed to pull wire to 2nd floor.

Any solution or there is no solution for my Laptop 1 connect to the Computer 2's Printer!!!!

Extending Wifi signal

CAN I ACTUALLY EXTENDED THE WIFI SIGNAL BY PLUGIN 2 WIFI ROUTER TOGETHER.

I have to setup my office in 2 different floors, but the signal was too weak on 2nd floor.

I have 2 router currently both are different brand, so I was thinking if I am able to extended the signal to the 2nd floor by connecting both routers via cable or radio signal.

Anyone could help me on this matters.

Regarding to the configuration, what I am worry is actually both IP range are set at the same value. So, I afraid it will be crashing if I managed to connect both the router together.

Any suggestion on how to get this network architecture setup?

Sorry, if you are able to explain the processes in more detail is much appreciated because I dont know much in networking.
