Format Win XP on CQ40-324TU

Hello all,

I really need help. I tried to format my free-dos lappy with XP, but unfortunately failed. Now i'm on dual-boot vista and ubuntu. but i really want xp, as win vista and win 7 cannot be as fast as xp could. anyone know how to do it? i cant find ahci setting on my bios.

I have read some of ubuntu forum regarding my problem.

The audio does not work as it suppose to.

i refer to this website = http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1049363
unfortunately, it doesn't help much

the problem is, regarding to the solution in that forum, i found nothing written at the alsa-base... so i cannot add the code into final of the code.

any better solution?
