The Vampire Crabs, belonging to the Geosesarma genre, are little crabs originating from Sulawesi.
They grow up to 20-25mm of shell size and are very colourful.

Basic info :
-This is a BRACKISH water shrimps not FRESHWATER, need minimum care.
**Brackish water is half salinity of marine water.
it can breed and life span up to 20 years if well treated.
-Need minimum space , a small bottle or betta tank(1-5L) will do, with filter or without, i will provide a pcs of seeded coral stone(with bacteria) if needed for maintaining the cycle in the new tank.
-Breeding - like cherry , male and female needed but unfortunately till now not much info in determine which is male or female. i can't choose a pair so at least 5-6 tails is needed for a chance to breed.
-Baby is in larvae stage but will morph into post-larvae(like shrimplet within two week).

Product Description
Common Name: Red Onion Snail - Orange track Snail - Polka Dot Snail
Scientific name: Vittina semiconica, Neritina semiconica
Origin: Known from Indonesia, Java, and Sumatra.
Size male/female: about 2.5 cm or 1 inch
Diet: Omnivore voracious - Scavenger (Voracious algae eater)
Water Parameters: pH 6.7 - 8.0
Breeding: needs brackish water
Behaviour: peacefull

The Red Onion Nerite Snail is one of the most, if not the most, popular nerite snail in the Aquatic hobby. Its coloration is a beautiful orange / red shell with black dots. It is one of the larger nerite snail with a size ranging from 1/2" to a full inch in size. I have seen some rather large ones.

Breeding

Will breed in brackish waters only. Aquarists have not had much luck breeding Nerites. Many species simply do not lay eggs under aquarium conditions, and on the few occasions where it has been reported, only rarely have baby snails been produced. Nerites cannot reproduce without mating first. Some may look at this as a plus, meaning that the Red Onion will not over populate a tank and become another pest in the aquarium.

Feeding

Another plus for the Red Onion Nerite Snail is its algae eating abilities. They eat algaes but also fish food and vegetables like cucumber.This snail will clean your tank glass spotless and also clean algae off of rocks and even leaves. Many hobbyists purchase the Red Onion Nerite Snail more because of its algae eating abilities than its visual looks. It is recommended that you supplement their diet with algae wafers or similar type food since the Tracked Nerite Snail may not be able to sustain itself solely on algae in the tank. This species is also larger than other nerite snails and will not be able to successfully eat algae off of small leaves due to its weight.
