Need help with Mcdia Media Player

I recently bought a Mcdia Media Player (2.5") which looks like this:

Is there any specific folders where should I put my movies, music and pictures coz my media player, when plugged into the TV, it can't detect my files! :shakehead:

The hard drive plugged into the device is a Samsung 250GB. Yeah its compatible. my computer can detect it.
