Hard drive problem...

I have a 1TB WD Elements external hard drive...it have been working perfectly for the past 6 months..out of the blue..the hard drive suddenly start to not respond to my computer (Win 7)...anything related to the hard drive, viewing from My Computer, Device Manager>Storage>Disk Management , Safely Remove Hardware and data recovery programs, when i try to excess them...its cause the program to not respond or takes a billion years to just view its status..and when i just pulg out the cable My computer still shows the drive still present...What could be the problem? Help is much appreciated...

I'm a hardcore torrent downloader...so when i go to work i'll leave my computer on so that my downloads can finish...this has happens a couple of days already...i come home and the size downloaded is merely 40-50 MB although its a seeded torrent ( i work at least 8 hours a day before i get back home) so i got a feeling that one of my family members is unplugging my ethernet cable and plugging it back in when i get home (to get all the bandwidth)....so is there any software to monitor the time when my cable is disconnected and reconnected back and stuff...i need the exact time and stuff...thanks in advance...

Yea my I-pod earphone's is now messed up and cannot use...so planned to buy Razer™ Moray but when i go online see reviews...a couple of ppl say its hell good..but some at the same time it isn't good....any Moray users out there? Any comments on it?...and if it isn't good and good,clear sound headphones are there....(of me bass not that important but must be clear)
