Hi all,

For those who have already obtain the rapid test kits and for those who have set their mind on getting one- what are your concerns when it comes to Covid-19 rapid test kits? Do you plan to get the at the pharmacy or are you planning to buy them online? When you come across brochures and advertisements that advertise these products; do you think that the content of the brochures and advertisements are somewhat misleading- and maybe a bit exaggerating?

Reason for asking- to gauge the concerns and perception of the public on COVID-19 test kits.

I am looking for a FREE Email provided that enables multiple accounts to be used. like for example Yahoo mail provide up to 10 accounts for any particular registered mobile phone number.
Is there any other email provider that offer the same facilities such as Yahoo and Google?

I'm looking for an alternative software that have similar functions to Edraw. Edraw is an excellent software - but it is too expensive. Any cheaper alternative? I'm looking for a software that you can buy one off and not one that is based of subscription, and having feature filled similar to Edraw

Buying New Laptop Or PC

Hey I want to ask you guys out there - now due to the pandemic - it seems like the market price for laptop and PC are skyrocketing.

I'm thinking about buying a laptop or probably a desktop for work purposes - but I found that almost everything is marked up. The laptops, solid state storage and the desktops are very expensive nowadays. A second hand laptop that cost it around 1.2K three years ago cost almost the same nowadays.

Will the prices of this goods go down? Is it much more valuable to get a new laptop rather than to hunt for second hand merchandises?

Getting New Appointment For New Vaccination Center

Hi guys,

I am wondering if anyone managed to change vaccination center once the vaccination center has been determined? I registered my mom (bedridden unfortunately) in Seri Kembangan. however she is scheduled to be vaccinated at Setia City Convention Center Shah Alam. That is around 50 minutes distance from here - an unfortunately she isn't in good health to be transported within that duration in a car.
So, I had cancelled the appointment. The application has prompted to re enter the post code again - in which I did.

I am wondering will the system select a nearer vaccination center if you had cancelled an earlier appointment? or will it be randomized and picked another far location?

I was thinking about finding a new laptop , and not resorting to refurbished laptop . my main priority right now is to do presentation,and that is by making video presentation, having a long battery life because I'm always on the go and having fast charge capabilities preferably one with USB type c .

among the laptops that I'm currently observing, Huawei seems decent in term of offerings and in terms of price . I could do without the aluminium casing and without the weight , but I guess I'm going to do a lot of video processing not necessarily 4K videos just 1080p. is Huawei matebook good enough for my work ? I'm not into heavy duty stuff, just a video editing . no gaming for me too...

voice-to-text application

Currently I am using Braina pro voice-to-text application. my apps is pending for expiry in the next few days so I am wondering whether or not I should renew my subscription. what do you guys think about voice to text apps? I love to use Google Voice typing but it is only available for Google doc in Windows 10 through the Chrome app... so it is kind of limiting for me.

Braina pro is ok but sometimes there in transcribing text so that is kinda a bummer for me. Google voice typing is also a good alternative and what's more it's free but I cannot use it in other application other than Google doc .

what do you guys think ?

any good non traditional Education paths after SPM

my niece had sit for the SPM examination last year , and she was hoping that she will got a placement for her next step in education yesterday. unfortunately she didn't get any offer to continue her tertiary studies after SPM .

I am wondering if there is an alternative path that she can take. maybe she can start to enrol for an apprenticeship program somewhere. she is currently trying to select her tertiary programs again . I don't know what to think of it especially factoring in the covid-19 pandemic. I know that the intake for this year only half of last year intake since many higher education institution have to comply with social distancing standard operating procedure, so the chance for her to get her placement maybe slim .

So any suggestions ?

Does anyone here have any experience of buying portable oxygen concentrator ?
I checked the price for Philips easy go mini a few days ago and it costs a whooping 3000 US dollars, Oxygenmaster listed out the price quotation as RM 15,500. Any cheaper and reliable alternatives ?

When I searched the item on lazada, it listed some of the devices ranging from rm1000- rm5000. Any feedback on the reliability of the machine is very appreciated .

USB condenser microphone

Hi guys,

I am on a lookout for a new USB condenser microphone. I already got fifine k 670. It's good, the gain is actually very nice, but it still has some noise problems that I want to eliminate.

So I came across thronmax brand. Is it any good? One local YouTuber records his review using mdrill one, but the quality of the voice produce with the microphone was really bad.

An an omnidirectional microphone would be nice. My fifine k670 sounded really muffled if voices come from behind.

Hi,

I got mum who is 70 of age. unfortunately she has been recently being diagnosed with COPD . for the last 1 1/2 years , she threw tantrums most of the time.

it's very hard to anticipate her wants and needs because she always fine something wrong with her surrounding. I used to be able to tolerate her but unfortunately; lately, I have not been able to do that very well .

Anyone can share similar experience in in handling the elderly? A few tips are warmly welcomed. thank you

Would appreciate if anyone can give a few pointers on the kind of exercises/routines/foods that can be followed to develop brain's capacity. I personally found that doing meditation, journalling, working out at gym, playing IQ games (like Dual N-Back, chess, go etc). Based on my past experience, utilizing dry fasting and a healthy diet also have their plusses too! So, Would really appreciate on your kind insights on this topic. Thank you.

Foods/Supplement to improve/enhance appetite

My mom doesn't low appetite to eat, and she eat little. From when she was a little child, she does not eat fish, red meat and drink milk. She's 65 now, quite healthy; but hen she's under stress or undertaking fasting , her appetite will plumette. I tried to prepare some foods (vegetable, fruits), but she would brush it aside; due to low appetite. Any suggestion? Thank you

Based on my reading, myvi's aircond has a famous reputation for not being cold, so i am wondering if whether the new myvi also is suspectible for the same condition...

I've recently installed a Kenwood Double din player for my Perodua MyVI. I asked the dealer about GPS navigation capability. He said that I need to buy an extra set box to enable it for a whooping RM 1k. Does the price really stretches that high? Doesn't the double din come pre-installed with GPS ability?
