SUV with light offroad capability

Am looking for diesel powered SUV with light offroad capability for day to day commuting to office and occasion weekend hobby use. Not intend for primary family use as i will get another mpv for that. After scouting and finger surfing around, I have narrowed down my choice to either an used LC II or used Freelander. Somehow the retro looks grow on me. Price is about the same range of 60k to 70k. However one is probably early to mid 90s meaning >16 years car while the other is <7 years old. LC II probably has more ready and reasonably priced parts supply despite its age, than the limited and pricey parts supply for freelander. But I dunno if I am ready for caring such an aged car, knowing my limited mechanical vocabulary on car maintenance. On the other hand, freelander is not angel itself with many negative feedbacks on parts availability reported.

Maintenance cost is not a major concern if it's slightly higher than normal as my company subsidize part of the costs. Unless we are talking of an average of 15k per annum continuously then I will have second thought.

I am all ear for your kind sharing of thoughts.

Halal Bak Kwa /Daging Salai

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the repost if this has been asked before (post in a rush, last minute CNY preparation).

Am expecting my muslim colleague and their family for a CNY visit to my house and had taken care of the halal meal and snack/sweets. Thought of if can find halal bak kwa (chicken of course), thought would love to let them try this chinese new year delicacy.

Anyone know and if have, which one would you recommend?

Cheers,

Where to buy live mud crab?

i am a lover for mud crab, and more often than not i prefer to cook the crabs myself rather than eating out.

the problem i have is buying the crabs as and when i wanted - meaning, occasionally i can get it at the wet markets near my place but it's sort of like sometime they have and sometimes they don't, hit and miss.

i would welcome recommendation of places where there is regular supply of crabs like daily basis, and good quality one. What i meant is, those that is good enough to be supplied to restaurant. Occasionally i bought from roadside stalls (those stand by the roadside with a big "crab" signage and a few baskets of crabs) but found the crabs are like the "rejected" batch. Those who regularly drive past Jln Kuching (between Kepong and MRR2 roundabout) would have seen those stalls.

So, if you know places that sell mud crabs on daily basis, pls help me!!!
