Guide: Check Unifi/TIME/Maxis coverage (2026)

Many people ask "is Unifi / TIME / Maxis available at my house?" every day here, so here is a simple guide that works for houses and condos in Malaysia.

1. Know which fibre infra your building uses
Malaysia has a few fibre networks: TM (Unifi), TIME, Allo (TNB) and others. Many condos only have ONE network inside.
- TM infra: Unifi, and also some Maxis / CelcomDigi plans that ride on TM
- TIME infra: TIME fibre
- Allo infra: CelcomDigi (Unifi / Maxis / TIME cannot be installed in Allo-only buildings)
Easiest way to know: ask your management office, or look at the fibre box (TOS) in your unit - it usually has TM / TIME / Allo printed on it.

2. Check each ISP website with your FULL address
- Unifi: unifi.com.my > check coverage
- TIME: time.com.my > coverage check
- Maxis / CelcomDigi: their fibre pages have address checkers
Tip: type the exact unit number, block and taman name as on your utility bill. If the system says "not available" it may just be a typo or a new building not keyed in yet.

3. Landed house, not covered?
- Ask neighbours which provider they use - if one house in the row has it, a new port can often be requested.
- New taman: TM/TIME usually extend fibre in phases; register your interest so they count demand.
- Meanwhile 5G home broadband can be a temporary option.

4. Before you sign
- Check contract period and early termination fee
- Check router model (WiFi 6/7, mesh) - matters more than plan speed for big houses
- Promos change monthly (e.g. Unifi currently has free months / free TV offers), so compare before you sign

5. Moving house?
Apply 2-3 weeks before your keys date. Installation slots fill up fast, especially in new projects.
