One of the tips when buying a used/recond vehicle is to bring a knowledgeable mechanic or friend who can assist in evaluating the condition of a vehicle. Unfortunately, not everyone has such privileges including yours truly.

Is there any mechanics or friends that you guys can recommend that offers inspection for such cases besides AAM and Puspakom?

Anyone knows the details about the beep I got everytime when I power up my IBM Thinkpad R40e notebook? The BIOS didn't even show up, just the beeping sound. I've attached the sound clip to this topic and hope if anyone came across such diagnostic beep.

Win 2k server boot up problem

Hi,

I've an old Compaq Proliant server with PIII 1.3Ghz proc, 768Mb ram and 2x SCSI HDD.

It was running as an file server for 3 years w/o problem but this morning, it just refused to boot up, after like 20sec in the win2k splash screen, BOD pop up with STOP: 0x0000007B INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. I ran the CHKDSK /P in recovery console w/o issue, but when I ran CHKDSK /r, it hanged @ 50%. I DIR my HDD and managed to see all my folders and files.

I then checked the BIOS, SCSI driver were loaded and detects the HDDs successfully. I then plug in a new IDE HDD, unplug all SCSI connector, disable SCSI in bios, reinstalled Win2k server to the new IDE HDD. But when i restart the server after completing the installatiom, it just wounld't detect this IDE HDD, shows me System disk failure error.

Im at my wits end to figure out how to recover my data. Appreciate any help here.

I launched the CPU-Z application on my stock rig and found out that the FSB:DRAM ratio not @ 1:1. My question is how do I get 1:1 ratio?
