For the past three years, Ad Unplugged has been the bridge between college and advertising agencies. Jointly organised by the Associate of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) and 95% The Advertising Academy, it is a one day event where 180 students from Graphic Design, Mass Communications, Marketing and Advertising courses will have the chance to peer into the working environment of the advertising industry.

With the guidance of six Executive Creative Directors, it will provide a platform where students can gain exposure to the importance of strategic, creative and critical thinking, a skill that students can immediately apply in their day to day assignments. These students will be given a brief and will be guided by the Executive Creative Directors to build their strategy and come up with ideas. The group with the most creative and impressive idea will stand a chance to attend Kancil Awards Festival 2010, the annual advertising festival every advertising practitioner and student look forward to.
So if you’re a student in college who’s curious to see what real advertising is like, come on over to Ad Unplugged!

Date : 28th October 2010
Venue : Petaling Jaya Community Hall
Time : 9am - 5pm
Fee : RM80

Ad Unplugged if for students or even working adults that want to have a dose of how the advertising industry works. The previous participants were a mix of graphic design, advertising, mass comm, marketing and media innovation students, plus a a handful which were from different backgrounds looking at the opportunity of a career change.

The advertising industry is foreign to the majority of people. Most of them would not understand the job scope of a creative director, copywriter, art director, account executive and designer. This is a chance for those interested in advertising to have a chance to work with bigshots of the industry.

Check out the website at www.omfgwtfbbqareyouamutant.com or contact jon@95percent.com.my for more info.

[addedon]October 14, 2010, 12:06 pm[/addedon]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRpKRukoquk
