Recommendation for wireless earphone

Hi guys,

First of all does anyone here use Plantronics?

Today I tried my colleague's Plantronics Backbeat 903 Link and I kinda like it.

I am able to purchase this in UK for around RM230 but before doing so is there any recommendation for wireless earphone around this price?

Top priority is for music.

Hi All,

Not sure I am ranting at the right place. The story like this, started off a website with Domain Register last year for 1 year contract and it ended 2-3 months back.

I forgot to renew my application thus they canceled my hosting. I only noticed it when my website was down.

The problem starts when I called their hotline but no one answered the call. Emailed them but to no avail.

I just want to get back my domain so that I can continue hosting.

On their website they Promised: "To answer the phone when you call, 24/7/365" but so far no one answered my call?

Please can anyone help me how to contact them? Or are they still in business?

Hi kopitiam,

Am sure many of you are movie fans. I for myself enjoy watching new release movies in the cinema. Butt, what really piss me off is those jokers sitting at the back keep on kicking / goyang kaki at the front person.

It happened many times to myself edi. Asked them to stop kicking but buat muka tak tahu, really lost mood to watch edi.

So any effective suggestions to make them stop?

Eel in rectum prank fatal for chef

A chef with possibly the worst friends in the world died after a live eel shoved up his rectum as a prank when he was passed out drunk gnawed through his guts.

The 59-year-old man, a chef, was reportedly taken to a Sichuan hospital complaining of abdominal pain, dehydration and a great deal of anal bleeding. He was soon diagnosed as being in a severe state of shock.

Doctors mystified by the man's abdominal pain and anal bleeding cut him open and were astonished to find the 20-inch eel lodged in his rectum.

Though dead, the eel had apparently already wrought havoc on his innards, biting its way through his intestines prior to dying. Internal bleeding and infection rapidly set in.

The patient died after 10 days in intensive care. Police are investigating, and the "friends" are likely to face charges.

The likely cause was eventually established - he had apparently been drinking with friends, and had passed out. His friends had decided it would be amusing to insert a live eel into his anus whilst he was comatose.

LCD or plasma?

Good morning everyone,

I have a favor to ask you all, can please help me to make decision? I can't decide whether to buy LCD or plasma (46"-50"). Most of the time will be used to watch astro and sometimes dvd, not me using buying for parents nia. If plasma will there be any burn in image especially the astro logo? Average usage is 8-10 hours daily nia...

Budget is 4-5k and I am deciding between Sony or Samsung.

Arlo everyone,

Long time din post here, hope not too late to wish belated CNY to everyone although now is very late edi . Just bought new home and need advice on the bedroom layout. Please refer attached picture. Any comment on this configuration? As the lcd will be bolted to the wall there's no turning back. My concern is the front speaker and surround. 2.8m apart from each other is ideal ma? And the center of coz will sit in between. Sitting position is on the bed lo, no place to put rocking chair...

As for the surround, will there be lost in quality for the surround left since it is placed further? Although YPAO can counterback this but no harm asking ma...

If anyone think I could benefit more from this layout, please feel free to point out.

For further info, lcd is Sony 37", speaker is Wharffy bookshelf. Hand very itchy to upgrade but dompet empty liao... What to do, just bear with it at the moment lo

Asus Xonar DX

Hi All,

Not sure this is the right forum to ask or not, else please direct me to the correct forum. I bought Asus Xonar DX today and installed it. Tried to play some mkv files and noticed that it only able to output Dolby Digital but not DTS although the file's source is DTS (my av amp showing Dolby Digital input only). Tried with various DTS mkvs but still the same. Anyone out there can help me? I will sell this card away if it does not support DTS.

Been searching around and seems like none of the thread discuss this. Center speaker is the 2nd most important channel after sub (or before sub) as well as the lead that drives it. Would like to know what is the favorite cable for center speaker that you guys are using.

I for myself been using Audioquest FLX 16/2 for 2 years and plan to change soon. A friend of mine recommended DH Labs Silver Sonic T-14 or Q10 but both of them are rather expensive for me. If recall correctly saw them at Hifi shop at 1U around RM1++ per meter.

So what you guys think?

Cheapo system vs budget system

Hi all,

Every audio enthusiasts has their own sweet memory of best system, whether it consists of Jeff Rowland, Proac, Naim, SF, just bring on all the big boys name. Well if you ask me I am the other way around. So far the most impressive system I have heard consist of CA 340A integrated amp, CA 340C cdp and Denon SC-M51 speaker. Depressing huh? I still remember two years ago I went to CMY at Balakong Jusco. Upon entering I saw Denon SC-M51 on display and Isaac Ho approached me. I didn't bother to talk to him and he asked, "Looking for system? Try this". I was wondering what a system with Denon speaker can do? He played Tsai Chin cd and I was like "Omg, this is brilliant. Never ever I came across a system this transparent." Even my gf being a non audio lover was stunted by the sound. To cut story short in the end I bought the Denon.

Once I auditioned Epos M5 with Denon amp / cdp at the Hifi shop and 1U. I tried to like it as hard as I can but the M5 failed me. Maybe due to electronics?

My current hifi; CA 640A V2 amp, dvdp output to Zero DAC, Wharfedale Diamond 9.1s. As good as my system, it never came close to the CA / Denon sound. Maybe that was illusion? Well, I rather keep it that way.

P.S: The SC-M51 now being use as surround speaker

Need help to invest RM200k

Would like to seek advice / opinion from all the sifus out there. Currently owning Wharfedale 7.1 system and Denon avr 1905. The front is Diamond 9.1s and would like to improve the stereo image. Budget at RM800 - 1k (for new or used unit) and what is the recommended cd player? Marantz CD-5001, CA Azur 340C or Nad? This is my first step into Hifi and really hope the upgrade will last me few years.

Cable is Audioquest FLX 16/4 biwire if that helps.
