[WTS] LifeQode EDG3

LifeQode EDG3

The US-patented way to increase Glutathione levels.

Activate your body’s ability to produce Glutathione inside your cells, where it’s needed.
Boost your immunity, recovery as well as skin condition and appearance while regenerating other antioxidants.
Protect every one of your cells from damage by toxins, free radicals, disease and infection.

US Patented Amino Acid Blend

The key to EDG3 is its unique, US patented amino acid blend of glutathione building blocks and activators involving a revolutionary cell delivery method. It is the scientifically proven way to efficiently raise your glutathione levels.

What’s so amazing about glutathione?

Glutathione is your body’s ultimate protector and is the only antioxidant that resides inside everyone of your trillions of cells. Insufficient glutathione leads to faster age-related deterioration, reduced ability to deal with infections, and a buildup of toxins in the body. In addition to this, glutathione has the unique capacity to recycle used antioxidants such as Vitamin C and E, returning them to active duty neutralising free radicals.

Get an EDG3 on life! EDG3 is a pleasant-tasting, mixed berry flavoured daily drink to increase glutathione levels, suitable for anyone 12 years of age and over.

Main Ingredients: US-patented amino acid blend (l-cystine, glutamine, glycine, selenomethionine), natural mixed berry extract, vitamin C (ascorbic acid).

KEY BENEFITS OF EDG3

The US-patented amino acid blend in EDG3 is proven to increase glutathione levels in your cells and here's five reasons why that is a really really good thing for your health.

1. Master antioxidant

Glutathione is known as the master antioxidant because, unlike other antioxidants, it is the only one that works at an intracellular level (inside the cell) to protect it from harm. Glutathione also has the unique ability among antioxidants of being able to regenerate both itself and other antioxidants like Vitamin C and E. It recycles these used antioxidant molecules, returning them to active duty neutralising free radicals. Many researchers believe that ageing-related diseases like heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, cancer and other dreaded diseases are caused by cellular damage from free radicals. One of the possible ways to prevent these diseases is to make sure that your glutathione level is high; this ensures that free radicals are mopped up before they cause harm to the cells, the organs and eventually our health

2. Master immune booster

Cells with higher glutathione levels are able to protect themselves more effectively against attack from viruses and bacteria. Glutathione plays a central role in the proper functioning of white blood cells including T cell lymphocytes, the frontline soldiers of your immune system. Some experts say that glutathione is so versatile that it plays a beneficial role against almost any disease! John Pinto from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre said “if you deplete the glutathione in a cell, the cell loses its immune activity and disintegrates.”

3. Master detoxifier

It is often thought that waste is only eliminated by the bowels and the bladder. However the most profound and complicated elimination of waste takes place at a molecular level. Indeed, the highest concentration of glutathione is in the cells of your organs that must deal with external contaminants - your skin, lungs, liver, stomach and kidneys. Glutathione is the most critical and integral part of your molecular detoxification system in all your cells but especially the cells of these vital organs. Foreign toxins such as carcinogens, heavy metals as well as normal cell waste stick to glutathione which carries it away via the kidneys and out of your body.

4. Skin care from the inside

Many experts believe that a lack of glutathione is the biggest contributor to premature ageing both inside your body but also on the outside. Increased glutathione in your skin reduces damage from external factors, such as harmful UV rays that generate free radicals and damage collagen fibres. For many, improved skin is the first thing they notice after increasing glutathione levels with EDG3. Specifically our customers notice:

-Reduction in brown spots

-Brighter and softer skin

-Improved skin elasticity

5. You probably need more of it

Since your body makes its own glutathione, you may wonder why you need more! Here’s three reasons why.

-From the age of 20, your body’s natural production of glutathione begins to decline.

-Most people lack all the components your body needs to produce glutathione continually.

-Glutathione lasts only around 36-hours before needing to be replenished.

So this is why taking EDG3 daily is so valuable and so effective at boosting many aspects of your health in the short and long-term.

What is Free Radicals?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Antioxidants and Free radicals

Antioxidants are intimately involved in the prevention of cellular damage -- the common pathway for cancer, aging, and a variety of diseases. The scientific community has begun to unveil some of the mysteries surrounding this topic, and the media has begun whetting our thirst for knowledge. Athletes have a keen interest because of health concerns and the prospect of enhanced performance and/or recovery from exercise. The purpose of this article is to serve as a beginners guide to what antioxidants are and to briefly review their role in exercise and general health. What follows is only the tip of the iceberg in this dynamic and interesting subject.

It's the radicals, man

Free radicals are atoms or groups of atoms with an odd (unpaired) number of electrons and can be formed when oxygen interacts with certain molecules. Once formed these highly reactive radicals can start a chain reaction, like dominoes. Their chief danger comes from the damage they can do when they react with important cellular components such as DNA, or the cell membrane. Cells may function poorly or die if this occurs. To prevent free radical damage the body has a defense system of antioxidants.

Antioxidants are molecules which can safely interact with free radicals and terminate the chain reaction before vital molecules are damaged. Although there are several enzyme systems within the body that scavenge free radicals, the principle micronutrient (vitamin) antioxidants are vitamin E, beta-carotene, and vitamin C. Additionally, selenium, a trace metal that is required for proper function of one of the body's antioxidant enzyme systems, is sometimes included in this category. The body cannot manufacture these micronutrients so they must be supplied in the diet.

· Vitamin E : d-alpha tocopherol. A fat soluble vitamin present in nuts, seeds, vegetable and fish oils, whole grains (esp. wheat germ), fortified cereals, and apricots. Current recommended daily allowance (RDA) is 15 IU per day for men and 12 IU per day for women.

· Vitamin C : Ascorbic acid is a water soluble vitamin present in citrus fruits and juices, green peppers, cabbage, spinach, broccoli, kale, cantaloupe, kiwi, and strawberries. The RDA is 60 mg per day. Intake above 2000 mg may be associated with adverse side effects in some individuals.

· Beta-carotene is a precursor to vitamin A (retinol) and is present in liver, egg yolk, milk, butter, spinach, carrots, squash, broccoli, yams, tomato, cantaloupe, peaches, and grains. Because beta-carotene is converted to vitamin A by the body there is no set requirement. Instead the RDA is expressed as retinol equivalents (RE), to clarify the relationship. (NOTE: Vitamin A has no antioxidant properties and can be quite toxic when taken in excess.)

Preventing cancer and heart disease -- do antioxidants help?

Epidemiologic observations show lower cancer rates in people whose diets are rich in fruits and vegetables. This has lead to the theory that these diets contain substances, possibly antioxidants, which protect against the development of cancer. There is currently intense scientific investigation into this topic. Thus far, none of the large, well designed studies have shown that dietary supplementation with extra antioxidants reduces the risk of developing cancer. In fact one study demonstrated an increased risk of lung cancer in male smokers who took antioxidants vs. male smoker who did not supplement. Whether this effect was from the antioxidants is unknown but it does raise the issue that antioxidants may be harmful under certain conditions.

Antioxidants are also thought to have a role in slowing the aging process and preventing heart disease and strokes, but the data is still inconclusive. Therefore from a public health perspective it is premature to make recommendations regarding antioxidant supplements and disease prevention. New data from ongoing studies will be available in the next few years and will shed more light on this constantly evolving area. Perhaps the best advice, which comes from several authorities in cancer prevention, is to eat 5 servings of fruit or vegetables per day.

Exercise and oxidative damage

Endurance exercise can increase oxygen utilization from 10 to 20 times over the resting state. This greatly increases the generation of free radicals, prompting concern about enhanced damage to muscles and other tissues. The question that arises is, how effectively can athletes defend against the increased free radicals resulting from exercise? Do athletes need to take extra antioxidants?

Because it is not possible to directly measure free radicals in the body, scientists have approached this question by measuring the by-products that result from free radical reactions. If the generation of free radicals exceeds the antioxidant defenses then one would expect to see more of these by-products. These measurements have been performed in athletes under a variety of conditions.

Several interesting concepts have emerged from these types of experimental studies. Regular physical exercise enhances the antioxidant defense system and protects against exercise induced free radical damage. This is an important finding because it shows how smart the body is about adapting to the demands of exercise. These changes occur slowly over time and appear to parallel other adaptations to exercise.

On the other hand, intense exercise in untrained individuals overwhelms defenses resulting in increased free radical damage. Thus, the "weekend warrior" who is predominantly sedentary during the week but engages in vigorous bouts of exercise during the weekend may be doing more harm than good. To this end there are many factors which may determine whether exercise induced free radical damage occurs, including degree of conditioning of the athlete, intensity of exercise, and diet.

Can antioxidant supplements prevent exercise induced damage or enhance recovery from exercise?

Although it is well known that vitamin deficiencies can create difficulties in training and recovery, the role of antioxidant supplementation in a well nourished athlete is controversial. The experimental studies are often conflicting and conclusions are difficult to reach. Nevertheless, most of the data suggest that increased intake of vitamin E is protective against exercise induced oxidative damage. It is hypothesized that vitamin E is also involved in the recovery process following exercise. Currently, the amount of vitamin E needed to produce these effects is unknown. The diet may supply enough vitamin E in most athletes, but some may require supplementation. There is no firm data to support the use of increased amounts of the other antioxidants.

Performance

In general, antioxidant supplements have not been shown to be useful as performance enhancers. The one exception to this is vitamin E which has been shown to be useful in athletes exercising at high altitudes. A placebo controlled study done on mountaineers demonstrated less free radical damage and decline in anaerobic threshold in those athletes supplemented with vitamin E. Although difficult to generalize, this finding suggests that supplementation with vitamin E might be beneficial in those triathletes who are adapting to higher elevations.

How much is enough?

Although there is little doubt that antioxidants are a necessary component for good health, no one knows if supplements should be taken and, if so, how much. Antioxidants supplements were once thought to be harmless but increasingly we are becoming aware of interactions and potential toxicity. It is interesting to note that, in the normal concentrations found in the body, vitamin C and beta-carotene are antioxidants; but at higher concentrations they are pro-oxidants and, thus, harmful. Also, very little is known about the long term consequences of megadoses of antioxidants. The body's finely tuned mechanisms are carefully balanced to withstand a variety of insults. Taking chemicals without a complete understanding of all of their effects may disrupt this balance.

Recommendations

Follow a balanced training program that emphasizes regular exercise and eat 5 servings of fruit or vegetables per day. This will ensure that you are developing your inherent antioxidant systems and that your diet is providing the necessary components.
Weekend warriors should strongly consider a more balanced approach to exercise. Failing that, consider supplementation.
For extremely demanding races (such as an ultradistance event), or when adapting to high altitude, consider taking a vitamin E supplement (100 to 200 IU, approximately 10 times the RDA) per day for several weeks up to and following the race.
Look for upcoming FDA recommendations, but be wary of advertising and media hype.
Do not oversupplement.

Adapted from http://www.rice.edu/~jenky/sports/antiox.html

All you need to know about LifeQode EDG3

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Q: What is glutathione?

A: Glutathione (also known as GSH) is a large protein molecule made up of three simple amino acids: cysteine, glycine and glutamine. It is produced in all cells of the human body and all living things. Glutathione is critical to cell survival, if you deplete the glutathione in a cell, it disintegrates and loses its immune activity. Glutathione has a turnover rate in the body every 36 hours; which means the body’s cellular reservoirs of glutathione need to be replenished regularly. Being in every cell gives an indication of the importance nature places on this molecule.

Q: What are the benefits of glutathione?

A: Glutathione plays a central role in the cell; protecting it from bacteria, viruses, pollutants, free radicals and even cells' own waste. While other antioxidants work only in certain parts of our body or as a first line of defense, glutathione is needed in every cell.

Q: Why is glutathione called the master antioxidant?

A: Glutathione is known as the master antioxidant because it works at an intracellular (inside the cell) level to protect each cell from harm. It also has the unique ability of maximising the performance of all the other antioxidants we consume in our diet, including Vitamins C and E or from other supplements.

Q: Why is glutathione called the master immune booster?

A: Glutathione is critical in helping your immune system do its job of fighting infections. Cells with higher glutathione levels are healthier and able to perform more effectively to protect us from viruses and bacteria. For example, a critical part of the immune system are T cells and for T cell activation and proliferation to occur, their glutathione content must be increased to the right level.

Q: Why is glutathione called the master detoxifier?

A: Glutathione is also the most critical and integral part of your detoxification system. Foreign toxins as well as normal cell waste stick to glutathione which then carries it, via the kidneys, out of your body.

Q: Does glutathione help whiten skin?

A: Glutathione has long been used for skin whitening and to improve complexion because of its melanin-reducing effect. Many users report lighter, softer skin as one of the first effects they notice after starting to take EDG3 daily. This effect is not considered the primary benefit of glutathione in the body.

Q: Are there any medical conditions associated with glutathione deficiency?

A: Currently, there are 98 medical conditions attributed to glutathione deficiency. Some of these are arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease, cataract, chronic fatigue syndrome, frequent infections, insomnia, diabetes and cancer.

Q: What is LifeQode EDG3?

A: Glutathione and EDG3 go hand in hand – EDG3 is clinically proven to increase and maintain the amount of glutathione in your body safely and naturally. It does this using an incredible patented delivery system to ensure each cell in your body receives the three amino acids it needs to produce glutathione, something no other glutathione supplement does as effectively as EDG3!

Q: How does EDG3 differ from other glutathione products?

A: Most other glutathione products either contain glutathione itself or the amino acid cysteine. The problem with these approaches is that neither is as effective as EDG3 at increasing glutathione levels in the cells.

Q: Does EDG3 contain glutathione?

A: No, the glutathione molecule is too big to pass efficiently through the stomach wall so EDG3 employs a revolutionary method to increase glutathione production inside the cell.

Q: Can I take oral glutathione instead of EDG3?

A: Oral glutathione is not as effective as EDG3 at increasing the amount of glutathione in the body's cells because as much as 85% of it is broken down in the stomach during digestion. Furthermore, the absorption of glutathione in the body among the elderly may be even less effective.

Q: What are the ingredients of LifeQode EDG3?

A: LifeQode EDG3 contains an exclusive US patented amino acid blend consisting of l-glutamine, l-cystine (not the same as cysteine) and glycine. Additionally, the formula includes selenium and methionine, important minerals involved in the process of producing glutathione. EDG3 also contains ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), natural mixed berry extract and a healthy natural fibre to support digestive health.

Q: What is the difference between cystine and cysteine?

A: Cysteine is the glutathione building block that each cell typically needs more of to keep producing glutathione. The problem is that cysteine is unstable and, when taken directly, is broken down in the stomach before getting inside the body's cells where it is needed. Cystine, which is in EDG3, solves this major problem because it survives in the body all the way to the cell membrane where it enters the cell before splitting into two cysteine molecules.

Q: How long will it take before I see results from EDG3?

A: Effects take place after 4 weeks of regular use.

Q: Are there clinical studies to support the claims of EDG3?

A: There are about 120,000 studies published to support the benefits of increasing our glutathione levels. EDG3 itself employs a proven and patented method for increasing glutathione levels in the body.

Q: Is it safe for children to take EDG3?

A: Generally, yes. Children aged 6-12 may take half a sachet per day. However, for children under the age of six, we recommend consulting a doctor first.

Q: Can I take EDG3 while on prescription medication?

A: Yes, EDG3 does not interfere with any known prescription medicines.

Q: Is EDG3 a cure for any symptom or illness?

A: No, EDG3 is not intended to treat or cure any specific symptom or illness.

Q: Are there any known negative side effects from taking EDG3?

A: EDG3 is all-natural and non-toxic with no added colours, artificial flavours or preservatives. It is safe to drink even in more than the recommended dosage. A small number of people may experience what is sometimes called a 'healing crisis' shortly after starting to take EDG3, see below.

Q: What is a healing crisis?

A: The healing crisis, or Herxheimer effect, is a short-lived period during which a person may experience flu-like symptoms after first taking a powerful cleansing or nutritional supplement.

Q: Do other nutritional and/or antioxidant supplements work in synergy with EDG3?

A: The genetics of EDG3 in particular cannot be replaced. However, other antioxidants such as Vitamin C and E as found in BERRY XTREME, Olé Olive Leaf Extract and other supplements are further enhanced by EDG3. This is because glutathione plays a role in enhancing and recycling other antioxidants which you consume in your diet or in other supplements.

Q: Why doesn’t EDG3 completely dissolve in water?

A: EDG3 is not 100% water soluble owing to its patented delivery system. If there remains residue in the glass after taking EDG3, add additional water, swirl and drink to ensure no EDG3 is left behind.

Q: Can I take EDG3 with milk instead of water?

A: EDG3 has no aftertaste and can be sprinkled on foods or added to any beverage. EDG3 is also conveniently carried in colloidal liquids such as milk. So, add EDG3 to any milky drink to avoid any granular texture some people notice when taking EDG3 with water.

Q: How should I store EDG3?

A: We recommend storing EDG3 in a cool dry place. However, the building blocks in EDG3 are very stable and can withstand extreme temperature and pH variations.

Adapted from http://www.qbuzz.qnet.net/blog/2015/06/10/...-lifeqode-edg3/

How to drink EDG3?

EDG3 is a pleasant-tasting, mixed berry flavoured powdered drink designed to be consumed daily.

· Adults: Mix 1 sachet daily with aproximatley 120 ml of water, stir well and consume immediately.

· Children: 6 to 12 years of age consume a half sachet daily as above. Children below 6 years of age should consult a physician before taking.

Usage Guidelines

· EDG3 is not 100% water soluble owing to its patented delivery method which ensures it gets through the cell wall. Swirl your glass with added water to drink any EDG3 remaining in the glass.

· EDG3 is conveniently carried in colloidal liquids such as milk. Adding EDG3 to a milky drink takes away any granular texture that some people notice when drinking EDG3 with water.
The components of EDG3 can endure extreme temperature and pH variations which means it can be added to other foods pior to cooking. However, for maximum absorption we recommend taking EDG3 with water on an empty stomach.

USAGE TIP: Combine EDG3 with Other Antioxidants

EDG3 is called the master antioxidant in part because it's able to regenerate itself as well as other antioxidants like Vitamin C and E. It recycles these used antioxidant molecules, returning them to active duty neutralising free radicals. This is why we recommend combining EDG3 with antioxidant foods such as fresh fruit and vegetables and boosters like Berry Xtreme, also available from QNET under LifeQode.

IMPORTANT: Read and follow all directions carefully. Consult your physician before taking if you are pregnant, lactating, on medication, or have a medical condition. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any specific disease or symptom. Store product in a cool dry place.

LifeQode Natural Food Supplements for Long Life and Vitality

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

These stunning QNET women were extremely visible at V-Con 2015 showcasing LifeQode EDG3.

Servings: 30 sachets

Price: PM

COD @ Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya

For further enquiries, please drop me a PM.

[WTA] 2ch or 4ch amp?

Hi guys, i'm new to the world of ICE. Would like some enlightenment. I'm planning to install an amp and a woofer into my car. The thing is, i heard from a friend of mine that, 2 channel amps are much better for the bass, while 4 channel amps are better for the music quality. Is there a difference between 2 channel and 4 channel? I find my sound quality is good enough to satisfy me, i just want a more powerful bass from a woofer. Another friend of mine helped me to get a 4ch macrom amp (not sure what model) for rm300+/-. Was thinking whether it is worth the money or not, or should i get a 2ch amp instead.

I apologize if i have any misunderstandings about my knowledge about ICE. Will the sifus give me some enlightenment? Thanks!

*Update 7/2/2012*

So i got myself an AudioQuart HC-80.4 4ch amp. My stock speakers cannot take the power, so they end up sounding not really nice. I can't blast my music loud, but only enough to enjoy the sound inside the car. Mostly some time next week, i'll search for a woofer that my amp can power up. Any recommendations?

My AVG Antivirus detects microsoft paint ( C:/Windows/system32/paint.exe ) as a trojan horse, and detected to open. Everytime i start up my laptop, this warning will come out. Then i move it to the virus vault and delete it. Then i check my start up in the msconfig, microsoft paint is in there. It has the command line C:/Windows/System32/Paint.exe -autocheck . I disable it and restart.. the same virus warning pops back out. Check msconfig, and the startup box is checked again. It keeps happening all the time ! Argh. Anybody facing such problem? Tried googling, but no solutions.
