Hi guys, I am looking for a sound system for my Sony X90J TV, primarily for gaming and movie (mostly cast from pc). my budget around RM1.5k -2K. for this price range, should I go for soundbar or bookshelf speakers? currently looking at Yamaha YAS-209 and Sony HT-X8500, and HT G700.

Hi all, i have my screening report today and discover that my cholesterol level is at super high level at 8.1, doctor tell me that for my level, changing of lifestyle or food will not help much ady, I need to start take medicine. I am currently use 2x8GB 3200MHz DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO (CMW16Gx4M2Z3200C16). My friend gave me extra 2x8G 2666MHz DDR4 Kingston HyperX Fury (HX426C16FB2/8) as he is upgrading his PC. can I add the extra RAM to become 4x8GB to my current setup without causing system instability? Import fee deposit on Amazon Japan

I am trying to order a camera lens from Amazon Japan but when I want to place the order, I do not see Import Fee deposit is charged. Does it mean Amazon will handle the import fee for me or I will need to handle the import fee by myself when inspected by custom? its weird that amazon did not charge import fee deposit as the item I purchase is about RM2k already.

need advice on mattress

Hi all, I am planning to change my mattress as my current mattress is already sink in (more than 8 yrs ady). been to few shops to try out some mattress and just realize that the mattress nowadays have so many fancy feature that blur my eyes. got 1 feature that actually catch my eyes is the ice silk feature, is this feature really help to make the bed feel cooler than traditional mattress? cause my back always feel hot when lying on my current mattress. i come across a malaysian brand called Auzzie Slzzp, anyone heard of it before?

Hi all sifu, I am planning to change my current casing (Xigmatek Asgard Pro) to a new casing and reuse it together with my old pc components to make a simple NAS. I have few questions that need advice from all sifu here.

my old pc components:
CPU: i7-3770K
CPU Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo
Mobo: Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
PSU: need to purchase
GPU: LeadTex GTX670
HDD: need to purchase
Ram: Kingston Hyper X Fury DDR3 CL10 1600Mhz 2x8GB
casing: Xigmatek Asgard Pro window

1. is my old pc component good enough for a home NAS setup?
2. is 500W PSU enough? any recommendation PSU?
3. is normal HDD like WD Blue enough for a simple home NAS usage? should I go for more NAS-specific HDD like Seagate ironwolf?
4. is my old pc components still have resell value? if it is enough for a dedicated NAS storage, shall I go for it?
5. as for my new casing, I am checking on Lian Li lancool II Mesh RGB and meshify C as the p400a is out of stock everywhere. how is the performance comparison between this 2 model?

Ram OC with asrock b450 pro4

Hi all,

I am trying to PC my ram to 2933mhz today and found out that my bios does not even have xmp setting. I am using ryzen 5 2600 with asrock b450 pro4. I have 2 stick of 8GB Kingston hyper x ddr4 2666mhz installed in slot A2 and B2. When running CPU-Z , I am not even getting the advertised 2666mhz speed as per below.

Does anyone know what is going wrong with it? cant seems to get any info from google.

*BIOS updated to 3.50 but still same.

Ram type seems to be different eventhought I bought them together, will that be matter?

Hi all, I am having a hard time on whether to just upgrade my PSU or buying a new rig, the purpose is to play non competitive RPG game in 4k. Budget around RM2K for upgrade, around 3.5k for new rig. Below is my spec.

Mobo: Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
PSU: Seasonic G-550
GPU: LeadTex GTX670
HDD: 2x WD Blue 1TB

Hi guys, do you guys face any line terminated problem whether from previous or new telco when port to another telco? I request to port in to Digi from Maxis few days ago. Receive SMS to confirm the leave request from Maxis at 23 Aug and reply on same day, after that my line still stay with Maxis for 2 days until 25 Aug 7pm. my line suddenly terminated so i think that it mayb have change to Digi, so i install the new SIM card that is provided by Digi, but it does seems like the Digi SIM card is also not in service. I wait for a whole day and called to Digi Customer service just now, they told me the application is pending with Maxis side... so does it mean that Maxis is terminating my line before pass over the application to Digi? so which telco is the 1 that not doing the job here? been no phone service for 1.5 days, not even can do any online bank transaction because of this stupid process by telco...

car NCD and transfer ownership

Hi guys,

I have a CM Hyper 212 EVO and currently the stock fan is gone crazy, sometimes it give an annoying sound like the bearring is spoilt already, I plan to replace the stock fan. Is it good to use back the BaldeMaster 120mm fan or any other fan that have a better performance, preferable low noise and PWM fan as i am using AsRock eXtreme Tuner Utility to control the fan speed.

Problem details
First occurence of problem: 13/5/2013 evening till midnight
Problem frequency: always
Problem description: modem internet line keep on disconnect on reconnect back after few minutes / hours, already call TM site to reset port but after few hours, problem come back again.

start from yesterday evening, my internet line keep disconnect and reconnect back, sometimes its only ok for few minutes, then disconnect. sometimes u can use for few hours, then it disconnect again. i have capture some log in the modem itself.

Hi guys, i plan to buy an AVR for my PC but i have limited knowledge on AVR, can anyone recommend any reliable AVR? i found out somewhere that the required VA that i need is calculate by total watt/0.6. that means 550w need an AVR that have at least 917VA, is it true?

if i have purchase AVR, does surge protector is still required?

noise related issue on 1 month old desktop...

Hi guys,

i just purchase new desktop a month ago and now have 2 noise that disturb me the most...

1. PSU buzzing noise
- happen at the 2nd week after i get my desktop, suspected is coil whine issue after verified with LYN sifu, will get it RMA tomorrow.

2. Graphic card noise
- the noise only start occur today... when i playing Guild wars 2, there are ridiculous annoying noise coming from my Leadtex GTX670 and noticeable lag on the game. sound like buzzing sound but the noise is big and i cant just ignore it... the noise is getting bigger when i run GW2 in max graphic setting, when i adjust to best performance graphic, the sound still exist, but getting smaller.

test done.
- take out my gtx670 and run the game with IGPU, its working fine and no noise is detected.
- swap with another PSU with same watt and the sound still exist.
- take out PSU, RAM, all the connector and reconnect it, still the same result.

izzit because of insufficient power supply to my system? here is my system spec.

high pitch sound from PSU

hi all, i have just buy my rig 3 days ago and found out that my PSU will generate some high pitch sound randomly. even i have shut down window the sound will still remain few seconds before it gone. the sound is like the noise generate by old type CRT monitor, its not appear everytime but when it does, and it drive me crazy. the PSU is brand new, i just get it yesterday, am i getting a defect PSU?

sry for bother again. my friend can only help me to buy the intel CPU after Christmas, which mean in January and the item suspect to arrived around end of January or February. i cant wait for that long, so i gonna build myself a rig with budget of 2.5 up to 2.8k rig. my main purpose is for gaming.

Reedit: finally able to get a cheap i7-3770K from my friend, below is my latest build
