iPad - is it for me?

Hi guys. I was over the moon when iPad is officially launched in Malaysia. I was more ecstatic to actually see it being sold by premium resellers without having to buy those overpriced underwater iPads.

I was actually looking for a good e-book reader. I first saw Kindle when I was in the States and was thinking of getting one. Luckily, somehow, I feel like I need to Google it and see the review and that's when I read about a blog saying that it will not hit Malaysian shores as it's books are restricted by regions. Then there's Nook also contents restricted by regions.

Then I saw a light at the end of the dark ebook tunnel. The iPad. Unfortunately, today only I learned that the books are also region restricted. Fuuuuu. I was ready to take on the 64GB 3G model! So is the iPad still for me? or maybe I can still get those books if I jailbreak the iPad?

What do you guys think?

GSC Online Transaction

Hey guys, need some clarifications here. I'm not really a movie goer but I do tend to watch 5-6 must watch movies like Harry Potter for instance. Normally, I'd pay over teh counter. The last time I pay around RM11 for the latest movie at GSC.

I was glad that they finally made it online booking. But I was shocked to see that the price is hiked up to RM13. Now, either I've not visited to GSC for some time now, or they make people buying online pay extra - which to me is totally stupid. It's supposed to make it easier for them to sell and us buy ticket. Instead, they should maybe even give a discount.

Anyone knows this for a fact? Thanks.

Digi Will be Selling iPhone

DIGI.COM Bhd has secured an agreement to sell Apple Inc’s iPhone in Malaysia, Chief Executive Officer Johan Dennelind said in an interview today.

Digi also expects sales growth to exceed 5 per cent this year, he said in Kuala Lumpur. - Bloomberg

This so cool! If the plan is comparable to it's Blackberry plan, which is waayyyy cheaper and more affordable than Maxis' Blackberry, I hope it'll thwart the arrogant, monopolizing Maxis. More competition is good for the market yeah?

Unlocking a Nokia Phone - Nokia 2320

Hey guys. Need your help in unlocking a phone. I just got back from US and while I'm there, I bought a nice Nokia 2320 for my use there. It's a decent phone and I quite like it. I brought it back here in Malaysia and tried to unlock it - using software with various unlock code generators but failed. Can you please suggest me if there are other ways in which I can do this? The thing is, when I inserted a Simcard, it automatically says that phone is lock and need an unlock key. Someone said to me that Nokia can help me unlock with a price. Can you guys that know how to this help me?

Really appreciate your help!
