[WTA] How to manage 3.5 HDDs with laptop

Hi, I have 6 piece of 3.5" internal HDDs...varies 1TB and 2TB.

I used cooler master X-Craft HDD enclosure. Have using it for a while but recently I have issue with it cause it rarely can read my 2TB HDDs...notice this after i changed to use laptop. FYI, previously i have a PC and just changed to macbook pro.

Would like to seek suggestions on how can I use these HDDs with my laptop.

Hi Sifus...

I am using Alpine cda-9887...its a great HU, but I want to use USB to listen to music.
Got any solution coz im trying to buy the external USB cable (KCA-620M) but unable to find it.
Is there any option for me to have USB capability with the cda-9887 or have to change the HU?

Appreciate any insights....

Was thinking to get either E8500 or Q8200, which is better to upgrade.

Im not really into gaming...more to graphic and video encoding.

Hi sifu's...

I have a mobo 965P-DS3, this mobo is socket 775.
Just to clear my doubt....want to know is there any compatible issue if i use this mobo with proc 65nm or 45nm.
Currently using E6300 which is 65nm but is there any issue if I use a 45nm proc eg E8400?

Excel Problem

Hi problem solvers,

I am using Microsoft Office 2003. My Excel will always "hangs" (not responding) if i use text related features.
Etc: If i want to BOLD / Italic / Underline the text in the excel.... also happens when i want to color the text.

This only happens everytime if i am connected to the network. If not connected, it will work just fine.

How to fix this Excel problem....
please help...

OS problem

Hi...

I have problem to load windows, its ok until the loading bar appears and after that the screen just turn black.
Soo the problem maybe between the loading part and the window screen.
When i want to format for the second time i see that my C drive became D drive and vice versa.
I tried to change the C & D drive in Computer management >> Disk Management but cant change the drive with OS installed. I realise this becoz i still can load to windows in safe mode.

Questions
------------
1. Anyone have a clue what is happening?
2. Is it becoz of the drive path is changing that cause the problem?
3. How to resolve this instead of format it again.

This is what i did before the problem occurs:

I just format my pc and install win XP. I manage to load to windows after install win XP and do a few more installation. Log off/in a few times with no problem. I connect 3 more HDD and do virus scan with BitDefender.
Then i just log off.

The next day when i want to turn on my pc...the problem occurs.

The HDD im using with the OS got 3 partition (C,D & E)

Now i just formatted it the 2nd time but just in case this happens again...i would like to know if i can solve it without format it again. very time consuming...

Partitioning in Vista

Hi... My friend ask me to partition his notebook with vista home premium installed.
It only got C:\ drive with the OS (big partition) and little space in D:\ drive with something like notebook back-up
Is it possible to partition the C:\ drive without formatting it?

I look-up partition magic 8 ....but it seems not support vista.

Is there any other way to do partition in vista without formatting?

I think the house is 22x70.

Use for some gaming...not that heavy game and no need high setting..
example like dota, NFS C, FIFA08, CS...

was wondering is these choice is enough...

vista BSOD after install

I install Alcohol 120% 1.9.2.1705 in my brother notebook to mount ISO files,
Around 99% of the installation, got some pop-up message but i dont remember what
and just click continue. After that....got BSOD

After restart......tried to uninstall the alcohol but dont have enough time to do it....it just go BSOD again,
i think....after windows done all the loading applications.

Restart a few times.....but got BSOD every time after windows finish load.

Help please...

Suddenly cant do any changes

Got this notebook which suddenly the setting became the default setting.
When try to change the display properties, got a message like this:

"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator"

Is this cause by virus or got system error...got no idea...
Btw...this is personal notebook...not owned by company or anything.

Please assist...

PSU produce sound

My PSU sometimes makes sound like the sound of a fly flying...only its louder.
Is it becoz of PSU faulty or becoz it dont have enough power to support my system...

PSU: 500w Acbel i-Gold
Mobo : Gigabyte DS3
Proc : Intel E6300
GC : 7300GT
HDD : 150GB + 300GB + 300GB
Drives: 2xDVD-RW

I have try to calculate the power that my rig needs and its just needed around 450w.
Can anyone help me out...how to determine the sound prob...
