Transfer data from Old to New PS3

Hi all... I have old PS3 (fat) and recently struck by YLOD and then sent for repair. Then i bought a new slim PS3 and start playing. after few weeks i got back my FAT PS3 and no more YLOD. Now i want to transfer back all the data to the new PS3. The issue now:

1. can i transfer the FAT PS3 data to the new SLIM PS3 without affecting the save game in it (SLIM PS3)? i heard to transfer it will format the destination PS3.
2. I have multiple account in the old PS3, do i need to transfer one by one or can just do it one time only?

Please help...

Sigh....my fat PS3 is dead due to The YLOD. anybody know how to fix it or can recommend any shop to fix this problem.
