I have some personal finance loan about RM 30k and credit card about RM 20K...this is one of the reason i thought of selling it and pay off all my debts...

Top up my mortgate loan

dave_kwok — Sun, 24 Apr 2011 19:59:03 +0800

Dear all,

I have a RM 200k mortgage loan with Public Bank now. Since my house value has increase, i am intend to top up my loan with Public Bank (additional RM 100K) so i can pay off my personal loan (30K) and credit card(20K). Problem is this loan only in the first year hence if i take another bank package, i will have to pay 3% penalty on my outstanding amount and additional legal fees for the new package total up will be about RM 12K which i think don't really worth it.

I have check with my previous Public Bank agent to top up my loan but she said the Branch manager do not wanna entertain my request as the loan amount was small and very tedious to do. Any agent out there can suggest to me how can i avoid the penalty or the legal fees? or just the penalty itself.

My current package from Public is BLR - 2.2%

Please PM me if u have any better ideas. Thanks

DK
