Malaysia Host or US Host ?

Hello all,

When choosing a web hosting service, do you all prefer Malaysia hosting over the US/UK hosting ?

We all realized that Malaysia hosting is slightly more higher in cost when compared with US/UK hosting. Due to the higher cost of Datacenter and Infrastructure we have here in Malaysia.

Though, website hosted at Malaysia tend to load better than those hosted at US/UK when we access them at here in Malaysia, especially with TM/Streamyx internet service.

However, you can get bigger hosting space and bandwidth when you choose US/UK hosting.

How do you all justify the two ? Based on targeted user traffics location ?

Do you all use still use Free Hosting ?

Hello all,

Ever since I involve myself in web hosting business, I have a friend ask me about free web hosting, he is using one.
I advise him not to trust too much on free hosting, since they are free, they have no obligation to provide you good service and customer supports.

However, he just told that he use that just for blogging and for fun, not to do any e-commerce business and so.

I am totally confused, why not spends some bucks, buy a decent domain name, get a good hosting, no need to go for 100GB or whatsoever, 1GB to 2GB will be sufficient for starting. And all this doesn't cost more than RM100 a year.

Do you all still using free web hosting ?

What will you do if your free web hosting is down ? do you feel frustrated ? or couldn't care much since it's free ?

To which extent you could expect a free hosting service will be ?

Samung 37" LCD TV Image Burn-In

There is a 2 image burns in on my Samsung 37" LCD TV.

Mainly due to watching 4:3 movie format most of the time.
No choice, because when u stretched, zoomed, cropped it, the image quality is horrible, and what's more,
portion of the image is gone, so my family is using the 4:3 format all the time. Well you know, Astro..

here is a sample pic that illustrates the TV screen.

You can notice 2 black blocks on both side of the screen.

Any solutions ?

And No, warranty expired I guess.

Now the property agent told me that I have to pay RM300 for rental agreement.

Is this usual amount ? or should the landlord bear the fees too ? or is it 50% 50% ?

Hello all,

first of all, this is not attention grabbing or linking, NO ads on these sites.

I am having problems on my client's site. I can access the website anywhere I go, with Streamyx or Wifi @ Starbucks,

BUT not at his place, with the same laptop I used on elsewhere.

And what's more strange, other sites seems working well at there, the internet connection is active.

These websites are hosted on the same shared server, all cant be accessed.

Tried to ping the server ip direct, type the the ip on the browser, no response.

my client's office is located at Kapar Batu 11 1/2. And is using TMnet's Streamyx.

Alright, sent my ride for repairs.

car : proton saga iswara 1.3 1995

problems : brakes malfunctions, sometimes brake pressure is very low, very less braking effect.

after diagnosis,

the parts to be replaced and the price :

1) Rear Wheel brake pump (2 sides) = RM90
2) Rear Wheel brake shoe (2 sides) = RM45
3) Brake Master pump (Proton) = RM200
4) Brake Fluid (ENEOS DOT 4, transparent colour) (2 bottles) = RM50
5) Rear Wheel Bearing (2 sides) = RM140
6) Rear Wheel Brake Spring set (2 sides) = RM130
7) Brake body pump (used) = RM40

Total : RM690.

So, how's the price ?? is it fair, normal, or overpriced ?
