Suggest Me a good router for gaming while sharing.

Hi guys, im currently using UNIFI 5mbps.
The default router QOS is bullshit. while gaming (CS:GO) whenever my housemate opens youtube, it spikes immediatedly to 500+.

I recently bought as TP link AC1750 which claims to have "best" QOS for gaming. turns out that TP link lied as it does not even have QoS in its settings. Instead it only had bandwidth control which partition the bandwidth. However it will still increase the latency whenever some1 youtubes (only the bandwidth is controlled, not the latency).

Im now looking for a router which actually has QoS in such that I do not Lag while my housemates are youtubing or streaming.
Does any1 know of such of a router. Seeing that TP link could lie about having QoS option and so called "best gaming router", im afraid to waste more money on crappy router over again.

Help in replying a text message from a girl

Heyall,

Perhaps some will think this topic is a waste of time. but I'm looking for the most suitable reply to a particular type of text message a girl may send to a guy.
This is for a guys who is courting a girl or replying to his gf/wife. I ve ask many male and females, but most ppl say they will never be a good reply for this.
Some of us may have encountered it and it may varies but the concept is still the same.
So here is an example scenario,

if a girl says,

Girl: Today is such a bad day. I have so much of work to finish by tomorrow. I don even have time to sleep tonight.

Guy:________________________

So any suggestion on what is the best reply to this message?

apparently trying to say ' i understand" or "i ll support you" is not a very good reply...
also saying stuff like "tell me about it" or "im sure u have time" is kind of irritating as well.

Help to setup 1 network with 2 modems(ISP)

Hey all, I need help setting up a network.

I have 2 routers, each with its own modem and isp. (to make things less confusing, lets call it ISP S and ISP M)

ISP-S is only 1mbps but stable for gaming.
ISP-M has 10mbps but its unstable for gaming and has high latency.

I have several PC/mobile devices connected to this network via wired and wireless on either routers.
Currently i have disable DHCP on one of the router, hence making all devices under one network.

If possible i would like to set web browsing and downloading to use ISP-M, and others to use ISP-S, but i do not know how at the moment. (meaning if i were to use my desktop for gaming, ill be using ISP-S while my download on that same desktop is downloading through ISP-M)

Does any1 done or knows how to do this kind of setup, please share with me >.<

Anyone uses a good calender or planner app

Hey all, ive been searching for a planner / calender app for my iphone 4s for which i intend to use it to store my working schedule. Problem is none of the app i tested seems to show the exact correct working time for me. Problem with my working hours is, i frequently need to work night shifts, or more than 24 hours. Unfortunately most calenders cant show my working time which crosses 12am. eg, if i need to work 9pm-9pm on 1st Jan-2nd Jan, it will only show on the calender that im working on 1st Jan only and 2nd Jan appears completely free.

Does anyone use or know of a calender / planner that does not have such bug.

Hello all, this question may have been ask previously on other forums. But we would like to get view from our our local Malaysian point of view.

We have a friend who is in love with a girl (Girl A) but unsure if the girl A would ever love him back. At the same time, there is another girl(girl B) who really loves him and yearn to be with him and has sacrificed a lot for him. Both girls are fairly equal in great personality, carrier, beauty, and background. It was clear among us (friends) these 2 girls were at the 90th percentile in our population (or scale 9/10). As such, both girls have several men always trying to court them.

Despite being loved, that girl B is just isn't his "cup of tea" and he is afraid of ending up with regret marrying someone he doesn't fully love. On the other hand, Girl A has all the features of a partner he ever dreamed of. However, should he attempt for the girl A, he would lose the girl B. He is unable to make a decision.

He seeks opinions from his closes circle of friends. Interestingly, we have mixed opinions and advise on his dilemma.

Majority (6 vs 3) advises on being with the girl B who loves him, as we have control on our self and not on others. As previously mentioned, Girl B has sacrificed a lot for him. It is difficult for some people to find someone who truly love us. We think that he is extremely lucky to have a 9/10 girl who is truly love him. Even if you don't love them they will constantly try to make you love them and the mere fact that somebody is doing so much and cares so much will eventually make you love them.

However, some of us thinks that he should at least give it a go with girl A and forget girl B. So what if girl B is a real catch. We all live once, and we do not want to live our lives with regrets. As previously mentioned, Girl A is his dream girl and he too does not want any regrets. Although uncertain if girl A would ever love him back, the dilemma and constant thought of "what if" for the rest of his life is worst. We believe he should choose what makes him happier and if girl A makes him really happy, then he should go after her. Choosing girl B just because she loves him or she is a rare catch does not guarantee a happy ending. Although he may fall in love with girl B in the future, he may not fully love fully her. Marrying someone who we don't fully love can be a life long torture.

Interesting this has became a difficult debate among us with some saying it is selfish and heartless to ditch girl B who has sacrificed a lot for him, while the other side claims "using" girl B to be loved is selfish.

Hence, the question,

Marry the one you love or the one who loves you?

If anyone has an advises or opinion, kindly share with us.

Hello all, recently my sis bought an s4 for only rm1999 from samsung official store which also gives free screen protector and casing. They published the price as rm2199 but the sales person says they are having promotion for it for rm1999. Later i went to sunway pyramid samsung store and they also publish their price as rm2199 but the sales person says they are giving discount to rm2099.

Therefore i realise tht the samsung galaxy s4 price isnt fix. I am thinking of buying an original s4 but i wanna know where can i get the best discount for an s4 FROM an OFFICIAL SAMSUNG STORE.
Reason why i want to purchase from an official store is because of all the fake and clone s4 sold by third party sellers.

Can anyone share if they know which official samsung shop gives good discount for their s4 ?

Hello all, i am considering of buying an s4 but i realized that there have been scams and fake/clone samsung s4 sold by irresponsible sellers. The clones i ve seen on youtube looks so real and some are very difficult to identify.

I was thinking of buying ap to save some money but i dont want to be cheated with a fake phone too. Can any advise me if i should get original instead or if there is a shop selling the original ap set in klang valley region for a good price?

I just noticed today that i couldnt connect to the internet despite my modem saying its connected.. i tried pinging websites using cmd but failed. then i tried ping 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and failed too. then i decided to ping 202.188.0.133 jsut incase and there was a respond. I switched my router's DNS to streamyx DNS and its working again...
As some of us know, switching DNS allows us to bypass streamyx attempy to block access from certain sites.

Therefore, I am wondering if is it just my area that has this "issue" or did streamyx just blocked google DNS to prevent us from bypassing their DNS filter?

How to reconnect/change ip address?

Hey all,
Im currently using a new Streamyx's router which is Innacomm w3400v6
Im using Jdownloader to download my stuff. Jdownloader has the ability to login to ur router's settings and reset the ip when needed. However streamyx's router does not appear to have a reconnect/disconnect button just as my previous streamyx router.

apart from trying to install a new firmware,
(the reason y i am using a new streamyx router is bcoz i attempted that with the previous streamyx d-link router and bricked it)
is there a way to make my router obtain a new ip via access through the router's settings?

Hey guys,
as we all know, streamyx has been trying to block off torrents and other p2p stuff..
I ve been using Utorrent for years. Im using 4mbps streamyx and i usually download at 400-500kb/s via utorrent with force encryption on. However for the pass 2 days i notice my download speed never go above 10kb/s .

1. I ve tried using utorrent my other pcs and still the speed is slow. (<10kb/s)
2. I tried downloading downloading stuff via sharesharing website and test my speed via speedtest.net and it was excellent speed.
3. I have tried running utorrent since sunday and the speed still remains (<10kb/s)
4. I restarted my modem several times to get new ip and change my ports and reforward them. the speed increased to ~100kb/s for about 5 mins then crash down to 10kb/s.
5. Today i decided to try out bitcomet. and the speed was excellent at 400-500kb/s on the same files i tried to dl on utorrent. HOWEVER... connection to most of the trackers are blocked and bitcomet had to rely on DHT and peer exchange to obtain seeds/peers. I ve manage to overcome that by using a proxy to connect to the trackers
6. each time i ran utorrent, the speed is <10kb/s and i notice all my other connections, eg browsing/youtube/gaming slows down together.

I was just wondering, if somehow streamyx has managed to detect utorrent?
And if detected, they resorted to reducing ur entire internet connection rather than just throttling down the torrent connections alone.

Should i replace Mcafee with another antivirus?

Hey all,
I just wanna ask other people's opinion.

I ve recently bought a new lenovo laptop that comes with free McAfee Internet Security 3 years subscription. But as most people who used McAfee before..
McAfee has a very bad reputation in terms of slowing down the system, lower sensitivity compare to 50% of the antiviruses,lower specificity than 50% of the other antiviruses and 75% slower than other antiviruses.

i also felt i do not have control over my own computer. Previously i used Avira (which has highest sensitivity but poor specificity), and whenever a suspicious file is detected, avira would prompt me to choose, either to allow or block or delete/quarantine. McAfee on the other-hand automatically quarantine the file WITHOUT asking me. There is no option to disable that, or to make it prompt u first before quarantining the file... They do not allow users to choose which file is allowed or not.

I also felt my brand new laptop performance .. quite choppy, even during simple web browsing.. but i ve read it could be a windows 8 issue rather than mcafee.

My Question Is.......

Should i just uninstall McAfee and forget about the 3 years free subscription and install another antivirus?
