5.1 audio problem

hye,currently im running a XP OS in my dekstop and using a standard audio hardware, the driver was realtek ac97 software. the problem is, i want to use 5.1 channel audio but only the rear,center speaker and subwoofer produce a sound. i dont know what happen to the front speakers. i switched it to the rear port and its ok,nothing wrong happen to the front speaker. is that my build in sound card prob?

i suspected this is a software problem but dunno how to fix it. my audio driver version is 5.10.0.6300,realtek ac97. is that the update one?

somebody please help me. tell me how to fix it. i've already google it but didn't found any solution.
