I must have bought these earphones about 8 times now. Its the first time i owned a 334 Premium version though. These sound a little more liquid than usual. They were my first love and i always cant help myself when one of them come up for sale.

I got these as i really missed them and figured they should be good for work, but unfortunately, they are still stupidly distracting, even after owning them for about 8 times (first world problems). I find myself using cheap earbuds much more at work as i just need some music in my head (and is much more convenient, no need to always be careful); not constantly being pulled into the music every 30 seconds. I have speakers at home, so these don't get use much at home either.

Just a quick research, since we are mostly anonymous, can learn abit.

How long did it take you to hit your net worth goals and what are some of your experience or things you've learnt.

RM100k - Just hit this a few months back, currently 25, worked and save 85% of salary per month, invest in market very conservatively, decent returns. I think it might be very very hard to get more than RM2mil by 30-35 just from being an employee though, unless you in offshore oil and gas lah.

Dear Lyn Forummers,

The general rule of thumb worldwide for car buying is 20% deposit, and no more than 10-20% of your take home salary paid for your car expenses (including maintenance, loan etc), naturally most malaysians do not meet this criteria for good management of personal finance.

What's your current percentage and if its high, how did you convince yourself to buy nice cars in the 2nd most expensive country in the world to buy car when income is like number 50 in the world.

I'm asking as i really want to buy a Toyota 86 secondhand. Its 115k.

I earn RM5 - 7k per month (depending on allowance) and have more than 100k in savings (equities). I'm 25 with no commitments. I usually save and invest 80-85% of my monthly salary

For the car, im likely to fork out 39-40k upfront for deposit and insurance, and RM1020 per month for 7 years. That's alot of money. The installment alone is more than 25% of net salary (assuming lowest).

I'm asking as its a bit of a dream car for me, and this one is modded exactly as how i would have done it. Parts in the car are worth about 50k, before labour, duty or gst. Nothing done to the engine so its pretty nice. Its not a status thing etc, but i just really love the car. This is something ive been thinking for close to 3 months lol.

Im a natural born cheapskate, and therefore im finding it really really hard to fork out that amount, especially when my 2008 saga is running fine, shitty mileage, but running fine. Especially when i know its only worth like USD15-18k in the states and im not ruling out moving overseas in the future.

I got these as an upgrade to the Schiit Yggdrasil which i've always found to be an amazing DAC. The Yggdrasil was a DAC that i actually preferred over the EMM Labs DAC 2x, DCS Rossini etc etc. However, its always been a little too neutral for me.

The Pavane for me is as technically capable as the Yggdrasil, it equals or betters(slightly in terms of soundstage) the yggdrasil in every way. However, it adds this absolutely beautiful tonality that only a NOS dac can provide.

I'm changing this out as im looking to get into turntables. Will trade for a VPI Classic 3/4, Kuzma or Kronos stuff

Its currently set for 110v, but i can set it to 230v for you if needed.

I was looking for a pair of earmuffs for overseas travel and accidentally bought these.

Ok seriously... I was buying weights for a home gym and the salesperson recommended these.

100% serious now. I was buying a helmet. Ok ok.. These are the initial run of Cocobolo 100ohm LCD 4's.

I liked them enough that i decided instead of changing the drivers. I would rather buy another LCD 4 and keep these in the office where i can take advantage of its higher sensitivity and use a smaller amp.

They work perfectly thus far, and i believe it will continue to do so. However, in the event you would prefer the newer drivers, Audeze have indicated that the warranty is tied to the headphones. Audeze will pay for shipping both ways and replace the drivers free of charge. However, do not this process is irreversible, which is why i did not go through with it. Refer to the pictures above, or email them directly.

I find the 100ohm version more visceral and engaging, while the 200 ohm version is more refined. Different strokes for different folks.

Pass Labs used to have a saying that goes " Tube Amps, without the hassle" Make no mistake, these are not tube amps, if you are looking for a warm tubey sound with large servings of that oh-so-delicious 5% of 2nd order harmonic distortion. These are not the amp for you.

But if you want an headphone amp/Preamp is that clean, precise, dynamic liquid, detailed, neutral with a touch of warmth.

In my opinion, the best solid state headphone amps are the Headamp GSX Mk2, Moon Audio 430HA and Pass Labs HPA-1. If you want a pure solid state, go for the Headamp, if you want something a little warmer, more precise and more liquid, Get the Pass Labs. If you want something that is indefatigable and very neutral, get the Moon.

I've also owned the Ragnarok if anyone is interested. Its very good, but it tends to smooth over details and can sound a little brittle at times. Which is why i consider them a small step down to these.

Do note, these are meant to be turned on 24/7, fortunately, they only consume 6 watts. They can sound abit dry before being warmed up.

I'm selling these as i'm moving away from headfi and back into speakers.
