How or where to Dispose OLD Computers

Hi,

I have a very old PC dated 10yrs. It was not functioning for almost for 4-5years..
Remember those CRT monitor and the huge CPU type. I understand that i cant simply throw it in the dumpster and is not advisable to do so. esp the CRT monitor Last time I remember from somewhere we can sell over these to certain people. these people will basically will take the metal, copper parts and etc.

Anyone know what can I do? in case anyone wanted take from me oso can...

Hi Forumers,

It has been one year plus since i started to work.
I really to need make more (Better word save money for future use) money apart what I am saving now. Currently I only have FD and have a share in a company which has 8% dividend.

I have meet few people who have insurance + investment plans where u need to save up minimum rm100 monthly. But this is for long term benefits.
However i do have my own life insurance which was taken since i was a kid.
I read through the forum Thread and internet. Seems there are many mutual funds, gold investment, playing with stock market and etc.

As a beginner where i should look into first. Currently i just getting some information around to begin with.
Please if don't mind share your piece of thoughts.

As attached, Tropicana city mall Car park Price has been increased commencing from 1st of May.

for the past one year i park my car overnight there for RM1 per day. since my condo lack of car park space.
Now they increase the price dammit.

Why all shopping mall doing this way i don't understand? just trying to make profit out of it,

Slight hit on my side mirror

Hi All,

This morning on the way to work, i was suppose to take right turn, where there is traffic light and there was police to control it.
From far, i see the police stop the way i heading. Therefore i was slowly moving towards front as the cars front are preceding.

Suddenly i heard my left side mirror flip bac sound, when i turn there was a white myvi horn and my side mirror was flipped.
Seems like i hit the myvi's side mirror, which make my side mirror flip. There was no scratch or broken parts.

when i see this i slowly trying stop, but the white myvi car there was a lady in there just go off without any indication to stop. I saw her car nothing happen also. The problem is i remember correctly i was going straight and there was no car to hit as i had pass other car as well.
How come suddenly i "kena" this car i not sure. and the person just horn me and go off without stopping at all

And also i dont remember car plate number as i was recollecting what happen while the car just flew away.
Now my concern is what will happen now? If she did make any complaint, i am sure she knew my car number as she was behind me.? will anything happen to me? i dont think there was a damage at all, i was driving at less 10km/h..coz i was about to stop for traffic.

Should i worried? Anything i can do?

Hopefully i hope the lady just move on, i seriously not sure how it happen. whether the person try to cut inwhich i didnt notice or wat

Perodua Service : Money Suckers

Hi Folks,

Last Saturday i went for the Perodua Service Center.
I went to service my 1 year old MYVI SE for 20, 000KM.
They told me since is the forth service meanings labor charge will charged after this onwards.
I was okay la. Usually i make appointment before i go over there. that's what i made my appointment at 9.30am and i was 15min earlier.

So the service person have a look in the car, the engine and the meter. Then she issue me bill stating this what i will be charged for and the listing.
It was about rm380 i was like shocked. the I see the semi-synthetic oil was around RM88 which was the same since last time.

Then they charge for the Iridium Spark Plug for RM188. i was shocked to see that. I do simple Google out there is around rm130 - RM150 only. I ask them they told they use genuine product which only for Perodua. Then for the 20,000km Service they charge for RM42.00 and another miscellaneous was around rm42. They told me the labor charge and service .

I was kinda unhappy with the fee. They insist its how it has been done. No choice then i service my car.then i go back my car 1pm. Servicing the car at Perodua very expensive and takes too long even though made appointment earlier.

I not sure how others feel about it. But for Malaysian car price it self is very expensive with low spec and with many issues. I guess all of you know this that its unfair for local cars. i bought the car RM54,800 which i guess its too expensive. Plus the warranty will be void in case we service out there beside Perodua and these cars really need warranty as got some issues time to time. Somehow, they are more into money rather than the quality they provide.

MYVI driver side window problem**UPDATE 12/9/2011*

Hi All,

as per topic, my Myvi SE verson is still 7 months

Recently I have discovered that the driver side door window make noise when i scroll down the window fully or half way and drive, there will be a noise in the door as if the window is shaking within the door.
Even when i close the door in condition where the window is still scrolled down, i still hear that noise within the car door. like the window is not properly hold within the door and shaking

but when the window is scrolled up, there is no issue at all. no noise coz the window is fully attached on all side.

however i have checked on other car door windows...no prob at all. Just at the driver side only

So, if i bring to the Perodua means will they charge me or wat. since it is still in warranty.
What does cause this problem?
Anyone have experienced before?
Any suggestion wat to do?

How you estimate fuel filling?

Hi there,

Usually when i refill I will pay around rm40 - Rm50 based on my Fuel bar.
If left two bar then i will choose to pay RM50 for fuel.

But how to estimate Full Tank without spilling the fuel? Is there any other methods?
Coz sometime it would be full bar if RM50. almost 25liters.

My fuel tank is 40Liter.myvi.

Auto Gear transmission

Hi All,

I just got myself new Myvi SE auto. Previous i was driving manual.
Did take few hours to get use with it.

However, there is a bias fact on Auto transmission from the salesperson and a long term driver.

Let say we are stopping at Traffic light or waiting in a line at petrol station; is it advisable to rest your leg on the brake pedal or shift the Gear to N??

This is what i think: Rational speaking maybe if we held our leg on to brake pedal, it might be tiring and we accidentally will lift our feet which may cause unwanted incident.

Perodua Sales Person : Advise me every time when we stop better change the gear to N and don't rest the feel on the brake which will cause wear-off.

long term and very experienced driver: should not do like that as changing the gear will cause the gear box malfunction and will wear- off very fast.

At the same time whenever, i stop any traffic light or jam..i see most of the car pressing on brake...(Based on the light)

So, what your opinion in this matter..?

Hi,

I just finished my studies last two weeks ago. Next year beginning, i will be going for work. but transport is a issue for me.
So, i thought to get a car by the beginning of the year 2011.
My fly dun wan me to get 2nd hand car instead to get a new one on my own financing.
therefore, i have searched all over the internet for car loan stuff. however i have noticed that one of requirements they need is 3 months of salary slip.
which kind inconvenient for me because any i have to wait for 3 months to get a loan and get a car after that.

** my dad dun allow to use his or other car.

I need some advice and guide for me.

few days i ago, during my class i notice that the one my lansi lecturer pant was unzipped mayb 75%..
But then we can not simply say out like that it might embarrassing for him since he is very strict lecturer.
so, i just kept quite let him discover him self.
i just notice it 5 min before ending the class.. i pretty sure that many might notice it..duwan say it out.

this is just not lecturers only, it might happen anywhere we go...if its our fren we would say it frankly.

I'm a networking Student. just started to use Omnet++ for my Network Simulation course to simulate any routing protocol in network
I find this software a bit hard. and i have no clue how to implement for routing protocol.
Some simple C++ code i can do in this Omnet++ .
When it come to routing, i don't understand much.
Anyone over here, can suggest me any website to refer since there not many tutorial website for OMnet++

maybe can share some projects or tutorials with me so that i have some understand in it.
