Proton set for BTCC return

The Proton name is set to return to the British Touring Car Championship in the summer thanks to ambitious plans by independent squad Welch Motorsport.

The team plans to enter an NGTC-spec version of the Malaysian manufacturer's Gen-2 model, which will be powered by the TOCA engine.

Dan Welch, a race-winner in both the SEAT Cupra Cup UK and last season in the Leon Eurocup in a car run by his family's team, will give the car its debut during the second half of the season, and possibly as early as the Snetterton round in August.

Team principal John Welch said: "The Gen-2 suits the NGTC rules perfectly and it handles well as a road car, so that characteristic should be transferred to the race machine too."

The team was due to take delivery of its first car on Wednesday and could expand to a multi-car line-up in the future, according to Welch Sr.

Proton last competed in the BTCC in 2004 when Shaun Watson-Smith and Farique Hairuman drove a pair of works Impian models to a number of points finishes.

The announcement means 10 different manufacturers should be represented in the BTCC this year.

New car or secondhand car..need opinion

Need advise...as topic

My hometown at ipoh perak currently working at kuching sarawak.....

My net salary about RM 3000....

Range from my home to office about 16km...

Isit ok if I buy proton saga blm...heard from others that fc of this car bad...what are the other problem of this car...

Still can't decide I want to buy new car or secondhand car....

New car ==proton saga......proton persona.....proton gen2......

Secondhand car==proton saga lmst (below 3 yr).....proton wira aeroback se (below 3 yr)

If I buy secondhand car I worry has been cheated by seller,still new at sarawak,dont know good workshop and so on...but if I buy new car I need to pay higher installment...

Anyone can tell me how to know a good secondhand car if buy from shop...what need to check when survey car...how to know the engine if good or not..if buy 3 years old car what a suitable mileage....

What are your opinion....tq

Need advice...when I play game suddenly the blue screen with nv4_disp.dll error will comeout...

I have try uninstall driver graphic card during safe mode and reinstall...using old version driver or new version and lastly repair microsoft window but the problem still persist....so anyone here know what the cause of my problem is it because the graphic card...Im using nvidia 8600GT....
