VHD environment computer, the reads and writes speed of diskwill be depend on RAM. The result for KHX24C11T1K2/8X RAM test as shown below.

For random 512KB data reads and writes speed test, the reading speed is 5628MB/s and the writing speed is 5754MB/s. As for random 4KB data reads and writes speed test, the reading speed is 429.2MB/s and the writing speed is 370.7MB/s.Lastly, the random 4KB data with 32 queue depth reads and writes speed test, the reading speed is 831.3MB/s and the writing speed is 699.3MB/s.
Besides that, another RAM test result is generated in order to compare the differences. Four KVR1333D3N9/2G is used to run the RAM performance test on the same specification computer. The result forKVR1333D3N9/2G RAM test as shown below.

Kingston HyperX 3K SSD is using 3,000 NAND memory which means it should last up to 3,000 full writes of the new drive’s maximum capacity. Kingston HyperX 3K SSD quote sequential reads and writes figures of 555MB/s and 510MB/s respectively for the drive. The SSD speed test runs on Window 7 Professional 64-bit operating system with Intel Xeon CPU E31230 @ 3.20GHz. The speed test comparison is made between KingstonHyperX 3K SSD, OCZ vertex 2 SSD and Western Digital (WD) SATA Hard Disk Drive (HDD). The speed test result for Kingston HyperX 3K SSD as shown below.

As for random 4KB data reads and writes speed test, the reading speed is 34.33MB/s and the writing speed is 69.23MB/s. Lastly, the random 4KB data with 32 queue depth reads and writes speed test, the reading speed is 198.4MB/s and the writing speed is 178.2MB/s.

On the other hand, another speed test is generated which is OCZ vertex 2 SSD that is about 1 year old. This drive is rated at a read speed of 285MB/s and for writes that is speed of 275MB/s.

For random 512KB data reads and writes speed test, the reading speed is 201.4MB/s and the writing speed is 51.84MB/s. As for random 4KB data reads and writes speed test, the reading speed is 23.03MB/s and the writing speed is 47.47MB/s. Lastly, the random 4KB data with 32 queue depth reads and writes speed test, the reading speed is 94.18MB/s and the writing speed is 38.74MB/s.
WD SATA HDD reads and writes speed test is generated as shown below. The reads and writes speed is much slower than SSD because the HDD is running on rapidly rotating discs coated with magnetic material, and with magnetic heads arranged to write data to the surfaces and read it from them.

For random 512KB data reads and writes speed test, the reading speed is 405.8MB/s and the writing speed is 291.6MB/s. As for random 4KB data reads and writes speed test, the reading speed is 47.22MB/s and the writing speed is 2.156MB/s. Lastly, the random 4KB data with 32 queue depth reads and writes speed test, the reading speed is 2.312MB/s and the writing speed is 2.151MB/s.
As shown in generated result, Kingston HyperX 3K SSD reads and writes speed is about 2 times faster than OCZ vertex 2. It is because both of the SSD is rated at different reads and writes speed. Besides that, the age of SSD will affect the reads and writes speed because every SSD will have maximum full writes capacity. The reads and writes speed for WD SATA HDD is much slower than Kingston HyperX 3K SSD in small size of data because the WD SATA HDD reads and writes speed depends on the rotating disks and spinning of magnetic heads.

The following test will be the transfer rate between Kingston HyperX 3K SSD and OCZ Vertex 2.

The diagram above shows the transfer rate from OCZ Vertex 2 SSD to Kingston HyperX 3k SSD which is reading from OCZ Vertex 2 SSD and writing on Kingston HyperX 3k SSD. The transfer rate is at 165.53MB/s.
In this reads and writes speed test, we can conclude that although Kingston HyperX 3K SSD has reading speed while the OCZ Vertex 2 SSD does not have high writing speed, the transfer rate will be throttled. While the reading speed of OCZ Vertex 2 SSD is at about 200MB/s and the writing speed of Kinston HyperX 3K SSD is at about 170MB/s, the transfer rate is almost at maximum rate which is 165.53MB/s.
