EPF enquiry

Morning all sifu,
I tried to find the same topic but couldnt find any.
Just a quick question.

I recently work in a new company where we dont get paid of basic salary but only fully Commission base.
And I am aware of the company is not paying EPF to me, and other workers on the same line as well.
My Q is, even part timer will get EPF from employers, how come my company can not contribute that for us?
With what situation that my employers can ignore our EPF legally? Is there any?

Question on annual leave repayment

hi there all sifu,

I have a Q on behalf of my friend.

My friend tender her resignation on 23/8, which she need to provide 2 months notice in advance, by right she will have to work until 23/10.

But my friend only want to work until 30/9. She don't wish to work with the company anymore from 1/10 - 23/10.

The Q is, my friend still have 20-21 days of Annual Leave from the company, and her working days is only 5 days / week, how much suppose my friend get from the company if she leave on 30/9?

Is it the 20-21 days ANNUAL LEAVE x (Her daily salary)?

Because she actually has an argument, she is thinking that since she has 20+ days of AL, she might apply leave on 3/10-7/10 (5 days) + 10/10-14/10 (5 days) + 17/10-20/10 (4 days leave) total 14 days of AL applied.

And she go back to work on 21/10 (Friday)

So will she get 20 days AL minus 14 days AL applied = 7 days left?
And the pay for 3 weeks? From 1/10 - 23/10?

This is not possible right?

Can I leave my company?

Hi there all sifus, I got a Q here on my current company.

Ok, here is my problem, last year, I planned to leave after giving 2 months notice, and my boss, so "KIND" to offer me an increment, which I think its reasonable, but then the fact is not, because after the increment, they try to postpone the recruitment plan, where the time we're already short of like 3-4 staffs, that is not important anymore now.

My Q is, the time they offer me an increment, they actually stated a few terms in the Salary Adjustment letter.

Here are the contents....

Present

Dear Sir/Madam:

We are pleased to advise you that the Company has approved a salary adjustment of RMxxx ti bring your base salary to RMxxx with effect from 1st October 2010.

We are delighted to offer you the position of xxx and are certain that you will be pleased with the benefits of the possible.

It is a great honor to be the xxx; however not everyone is selected will choose move to this level. Being a part of the xxx team requires dedication, enthusiasm, personal sacrifices and the will to accomplish the work successfully.

Emails in Outlook Express EMPTY

hi all,

my emails in my outlook express GONE ALL yesterday, when the Outlook Express is hang there, and I reset my PC

after restart, and when I re-open my Outlook Express, my Inbox turns WHITE / BLANK / EMPTY only

this is not good, becasue inside my inbox folders, there are mails from 1/10/2010 - 5/1/2011 which I've not move to other folders,

just thinking that any way I can retrieve those emails?

Any recommended software to do so? and what is the success rate?

Promotion

Hello all,

Would like to ask something about promotion.

Currenly I am working in a media monitor company, my position is department supervisor,

I've a superior, which is the head of department, she is going to deliver on early July,

my HR did told me I'll need to takeover the department when my superior go off.

I don't really wanted to takeover the department because its actually a mess over here now,
where my current superior couldn't clean it as clean as possible.

my Q is, if my HR / boss is offering me to promote as Head of Department, can I actually reject it?
even if I reject it, but they still force me to takeover the job of HoD, what can I do?

Annual Leave

hello there, not sure if this is the right place I ask, if its a wrong section, mod please move it.

I am working in a media monitor company now, me and all my colleagues work 6 days/week, and 7 hours/day.

recently my HR manager said company plans to reduce the working day to 5-working day / week.
so it does make sense if our daily working hour to be increased,
previously we work 6 days x 7 hours = 42 hours / week
so if its 5 days, I predicts it would be 5 days x 8.5 hours = 42.5 hours / week

so here is my question, according to my HR manager, our current annual leave is around 13-14 days,
but once the 5-working day system implemented, she claimed that our annual leave will be reduced down to 8-9 days only.

Is this right?
hope some people in Admin / HR may enlighten me.

HDD = 320gb + 500gb + newly purchase 1.5TB Samseng HDD

need advise / recommendation on proc, mobo and RAM upgrade, hope it can fit within RM850-RM900, and another RM200-RM300 for a bigger casing

2x2gb RAM, it should be only DDR3 right? or DDR2 is compatible as well?

hello there, my external hdd give me a weird problem, when I plug it into my PC, and I double click on the drive, it give me this msg, "Windows cannot find any pagefile.exe ... blablabla". any idea how to make it goes back to normal?

hello all sifus there, recently I got some problem with my HDD.
I got 2 HDD, which is 1 80gb and 120gb.
recently, the 120gb dont know why cant work in windows, this means I can detect the 120gb in BIOS, but when I logon to windows, I cant see any partition for that particular 120gb HDD.
any pros there know whats the problem? perhaps the HDD is dead?
any comment is appreciate
