WonderMedia WM8650 SIM Problem

Hello everyone,

i have a chinese tablet with the following details :

Model Number : WonderMedia WM8650
Android V : 2.2
Kernel V : 2.6.32.9-default
Build Number : generic-eng2.2 Froyo Ver1.50-20110711.053510
LED : Green
Audio Port : Black

knowing it's such a product, i didn't have quite a good feeling from start. anyhow, someone else had bought it and it's in my hands already - to make it work right.

The tab was also quite slow that I tried Factory Reset it. Too bad that it was taking hours of waiting (IDK if it does should). I turned it on and off halfway of the process that it somehow booted up successfully all with default settings. Then, i would firstly thank to the following thread for giving me the kick-start of flashing the ROM - in order to make it into a better tablet.

the problem that still bothers me now is that i cannot get the sim card part to work. i inserted the sim, but as if it was not detected. even when i try searching for networks, ERROR WHILE SEARCHING FOR NETWORK message appear. sometimes, I'll get another SIM CARD ERROR message somewhere in the Settings option.

the sim card function did slightly worked, but it never really work nor before or even after flashing. Ones of a few tries, I could send SMS out of the tablet, but cannot get a reply into the tablet. dialing doesnt work at all, i guess.

some says it could be coz simcard wasnt tightly inserted (tried solving and unsuccessful). is there any other possibilities? whoever might be having the same problem and has the solution, hope you would happily share it here. thanks
