Any experience regarding them, good or bad? And what's the difference between each?

Changing Laptop Hard Drive

Hey guys, I am thinking of replacing the 250GB 7200 RPM hard drive in my Dell laptop to something of a 500GB 7200 RPM model. It's just that I am considering the risks before jumping head on into it.

1. Is the hard drive of my laptop user-replaceable?
2. Will I run into problems when trying to install the copy of Windows Vista that Dell gave me in a DVD? Like license key issues?

That's all for now. Hoping for good replies.

Hey all sifus, I'm new to the world of webhosting and I would like to know between the following webhosts to host a photoblog Wordpress, which one would you guys recommend considering the price and reliabilty.

I've narrowed my choices to these few:
1. Fivio, (Seems reliable from what I've read, but plans a little on the high side)
2. IP Serverone, (their RM99 a year option doesn't have pre-instsalled scripts included, means I have to install Wordpress manually? And they stated no photoblogs, what does this mean?)
3. DataKL, (Their pricing scheme looks reasonable, are they reliable? Any feedback? )
4. Hostemo/TNN, (Looks reasonable, I have read about the long downtimes recently, how are they?)
5. Serverfreak, (A little on the high side as well, are they reliable?)
6. Malaysia-Hoster, (Any feedback on their service?)

I also would like to buy a .my domain, should I register with the webhost or buy from a third party and transfer to the webhost? I've read if the webhost went down, you can redirect it to another website, or something like that?

Hi, first time posting in this Education Essentials section ( ) . I have a question regarding NTU's application deadline for SAM students from Malaysia. They stated on their website

Application period: 5 October 2009 to 31 January 2010

Australia – NSW, TEE, SAM, VCE (except those taken/taking in Indonesia, the closing date is 15 December 2009)

But what was stated on their brochure,

1 Oct 2009 - 15 Dec 2009 (for students studying in Indonesia)

1 Oct 2009 - 31 Jan 2010

So as you can see, I'm quite confused about the application date as I'm taking a oversea trip and coming back only on the 17th Dec 2009. Thank you in advance.

Acer Aspire 6935

Recently I came across this Aspire 6935 Gemstone and I was shocked for it's bang to buck ratio. Long story short, it has a Blu-Ray drive for only RM 4.5k.

I'm not much of a laptop expert, but does Acer generally have good build qualities of it's laptops? And please do enlighten me more on this laptop if anybody has come across it. Thanks. =)
