Hi guys, just installed unifi today. Wiring all done and my desktop was quite far from the router from downstairs to upstairs.

So I asked the TM contractor if they have the dsl cable to help me connect it.

Long story short, they did a 20m wiring for me from the modem router to the desktop upstairs.

I was charged RM50 for that, initially they demanded RM60.

Then I read the service acceptance form and realized that "Standard Installation wiring includes ethernet/phone cable up to 15 metres"

So have I just been conned? lol additional 5m for rm50. And if yes, can I do anything about it?

Hey guys, thought I could use your opinions, as I believe many of you would have a different rationale and thought. thank you in advance.

So here's the scenario..

-Been doing my internship at an automotive MNC for the past few months
-Was initially offered to be converted into an executive during the course of my internship then but gave it a deep thought, rejected a few times and moved on
(reasons: did not enjoy the job scope and working there didn't seem promising in terms of career prospects, would like to try a different industry, as well as motivated by pay)
-Will be ending my internship soon, and was offered another position by a different manager in the same department but different sub-department.
- The environment is not too bad..feels like a good place to stay for people who are comfortable at where they are.

Dilemma:
Should I take it or should I not?

1) He says why not, being converted while during an internship shows a solid indicator on my resume for future. Would it really make a difference?

2) I did not see strong interest in the current place, and I believe even if I'd accept the offer, I will not stay for long. Some peers just said screw it, take the pay, and leave when ripe. The pay is an attractive pull as I am not in the best financial position.

3) This doesn't feel like my calling, and I believe I would like to try something else like for going into consulting as a junior or another industry. To take this offer, would it end up as wasted time?

By the way I have only a bachelors degree in Int'l Business.

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Today afternoon after waking up
Problem frequency: Constant
Problem description: My pc is constantly on most of the time. I woke up today to surf and found that the speed was sluggish. Went to check pingtest and had a F grade connection with nearly 1000ms ping and fewty jitter. Latest one here
I managed to speedtest earlier this noon with a dl speed of 60kbps at max with insanely high ping. I talked to the Streamyx Technical line over an hour but it didn't solve anything, the operator asked me to flush dns, reset, test speed using tm speedometer (result of 41kbps dl and 190 ul speed)
I just tried to ping 219.93.218.177 -t and the result was "Request timed out" infinitely.

Anyone have an idea of solution to this problem?

Looking for suggestion for new rig :D

Hey guys, I'm not good when it comes to choosing hardware for a comp, as in the specific parts.
So I hope you guys would suggest me one. I'm looking for a new desktop for staying out of home at rented house(for study reasons)

My budget is 2k, and mainly I'd just be using the pc for assignments/surfing/gaming.

So far I been referring to ready-made cpus specs

What you guys think of this?

i5-2300 2.80GHz
MSI MS7680 H67MA-E35
MSI N430GT PCI-E 1GB DDR3 128bit
a 4gb ram
a decent HDD >1tb
not sure what I would need for the psu

GPU fan stopped spinning

hey guys, I would like to know if there's any problem with my gpu fan.
so here's the situation, i was playing a game when it suddenly got blue screen

so i restarted and found out that my gpu heat was at the peak and i was urged to shut down my pc.
when i open my casing, i found that my gpu fan has stopped spinning/working
it has happened once before, but a little tweak of my finger made it spin again.
but now.. the fan seems to be harder to spin by finger, nor it can be started.
so i wonder.. whats the problem, and i hope I'd find a solution with you guys here

I'm currently pursuing form6. from the offer letter i got selected for science stream.
but i'm weaker at science and maths subjects =.=
so i started my class today
my subjects are
*pa
* chemistry
*biology
*maths
*muet

couldn't understand a single crap in chemistry and maths lol cause i'm weak at it.

i'm requesting to transfer to arts class, but there's 2 options for subjects

package A: pa, muet, maths s, accounts, forgot 5th sub

package B: pa, muet, econs, prinsip perniagaan, geografi

i'd like to take accounts but there's maths s subject in that package, so i'm not encouraged to take it.
i would prefer taking up acc and econs together.
but i've to follow the package

and im currently in STAR(sekolah tengku ampuan rahimah) klang.

So the question here is, which arts package should i choose?
2nd question, i'm considering to transfer to High School Klang. But i don't know the subjects and packages offered there, anyone knows?

Alrite guys this is the first time i'm posting in educations. i guess this is the time for me to really decide where should i move on to, although its abit late.
I'm abit lost on what course to take, and so far my parents suggest HICT for ADP or TARC but dunno what course because its cheap. Its recession now and my parents cant afford much to send me to expensive colleges or whatsoever,and my results just dissappointed me i suppose..

i'm not sure to pursue courses yet, but law, psychology and business is in mind.
my godmother also just phoned me from singapore, asking me why not i pursue A-levels. but wouldnt it be expensive?
Btw, i'm selected for NS 2nd batch which is in 3 days, i'm kinda tensed right now. i could defer NS if i register today but well, i guess i'm still doubtful.

I hope you guys who are much more informative in this would enlighten me on which path i should walk upon.

First occurence of problem: since i used last time. but only dc once a day
Problem frequency: now getting very rfrequent.
Problem description: cant login msn, the dsl light. first stable, den blink den reconnect den blink and reconnect. makes me dc when i gaming, even when im trying to reach this forum took me 1 hour of disconnections.

my dsl light.always blinks for no apparent reason. i called 100 and they sent some1 change my wiring already. ok it was ok for a week or so, but the prob came back. but not much dc jus a few. nowadays, getting frequent disconnections. sometimes smooth, i play games well. sometimes, dc non stop and reconnect. really pissing me off
what is the problem?
is it i should get a new modem?
or cable prob?(already changed)
its the freaking dsl light. blink like there's no tomorrow.
