STPM

It's getting increasing frustrating as no one seems to know if the students enrolling for STPM this year as lower six-formers are under the modular or the terminal system.Has been asking around and searching the Internet and no one seems to know the answer, not even the teachers of my school.

And even if it is a switch to the modular system, how can the ministry not release a detailed outline for the 5 assessments area under the modular system, namely the school assessment, central assessment, psychometric assessment, extra-curricular assessment and central examination assessment?

Doubts

Hi people!

There are a few questions that I would like to ask. I would try to be as specific as possible.

1)I am a form 5 student and currently in science stream. Is thr really no problem if I were to take up accountancy in uni/college? And another thing is regarding my maths level. I haf been asking arnd (edu fair).that if you do accounting, should you really be good in maths and the answers I got was no.How true is this?

2)Another issue is about the ACCA professional qualification and the degree. As far as I know, almost every college offers the same route for this which is CAT as foundation for 1 year, followed by ACCA ( 2 years). What I’m really interested is that how many people really do complete ACCA within this 3 years? I understand that the last 5 papers of ACCA is not easy.Is it also recommended to get a degree before I move on to ACCA?There's a vast difference in terms of time here..

3)Even after I get my qualification,I understand that I need to practice my skills for 3 years to be registered to be a member of MIA.What I’m asking is,do you have to keep a portfolio to proof that you have been working for 3 years? And what are the chances that I won't be a member even after practicing my skills for 3 years?
