Item(s): Sapphire AMD R9 390 Nitro Tri-X OC 8GB GDDR5

Package includes: Full box (Driver disc, HDMI cable, original receipt, Sapphire Quick Installation guide)

Price: RM 1200.00 [SOLD]

Warranty: 2 years from Sapphire

Dealing method: COD only

Location of seller: KL, Ampang

Contact method/details: Private message me or whatsapp at 016-6944858

Age of item: 6 months

---

Item(s) conditions: Like brand new (barely used it for a week)

Picture: [attachmentid=6150247]
[attachmentid=6150249]
[attachmentid=6150250]

Reason for sale: AMD refuses to properly provide a Linux driver. My main OS is Ubuntu, and this card is almost completely unusable with the plethora of bugs, performance issues, and missing functionality in both their Catalyst/Crimson proprietary driver and open source RadeonSI driver for Linux.

Their Windows support is just fine, but Windows is not my main operating system so I cannot justify holding onto this card anymore. It has remained in the box for the majority of the time since I've bought it.

Originally purchased from Jayacom at Plaza Low Yat for RM 1365.00. The price RM1200 is non-negotiable, as I have barely touched the card.

Please make sure your power supply is 650W or greater, as this GPU uses two 8-pin power connectors (16 pin total).

MMU and UCTI Games Degree (several questions)
Hi there, I have several questions regarding MMU and UCTI.

Firstly, I'm currently a student at MMU and am in the second trimester of Foundation in IT. My main question right now is, if I choose to take the Games Development Degree in UCTI, will my Foundation in IT be accepted by UCTI? What are the minimum requirements? (I did look on their site but failed to find the info)

Secondly, I have been hearing rumors that UCTI's students normally get grabbed up after graduation by Codemasters but if this is true, the work they are hired for is it more related to Graphics and Art of Games or Game Programming?

Third, are there any Software Engineering & Games Design students from MMU who currently work in Codemasters or any known game companies? If I chose MMU's course, will I get a good dose of game programming or will it be pretty much game design (the art related department)?

This last one might be quite off the topic of the title but the makers of Fung Wan Online had to have gotten their knowledge from somewhere, does anybody know where that might be? Just name what you know, if any.

Thanks in advance for helping me, I'm trying to choose the best course and I really prefer the programming part of Games although making 3D models is not so bad either.
Hopefully at the next Education fair I will also try and query UCTI if they partake in the fair.

Win XP Pro OEM reinstall but stuck

Basically, I attempted to install Windows 2000 on a harddrive from another computer through my brothers computer (do to being unable to boot up on that other computer).

My brothers computer has Windows Xp Professional OEM ( it still has the CD Key too). Its Service Pack 3.
What I didn't know when I installed windows 2000 on that other harddrive was that when you install Windows 2000 after a Windows XP install, Windows 2000 now handles the booting of OSs and it wouldn't let me boot into XP.....

All the stuff is still there but I've gone and messed up something relating to booting up XP.
So I read about Reinstalling Windows to fix the problem without losing any of the stuff still on on the HDD.
But I didnt have an oem cd with me so, yes, I downloaded an XP Professional OEM SP2 cd.
Burned it, and tried repairing the Windows XP with it, everything was going fine until it reached the "Installing Network" part of the installation.

It now gets stuck all the time at "Installing Network" at 32 minutes.
I checked the task manager and there are no processes taking full cpu usage. I've removed all mismatched memory. I've disabled LAN from the BIOS and I have removed all externel periperals except mouse, keyboard and monitor.

I have also tried with disabling all on-board devices.

Now I wish I could go back to the people who sold it but this PC was bought before 2004. All warranties and assistance are long gone and the people who sold it are also gone.

Please understand, even though I am not using an original XP OEM CD, what I am trying to achieve is to regain my ORIGINAL XP Pro OEM. I am NOT trying to install a fake/pirated windows on a new computer.

So what I need help with is HOW TO GET PASSED the 32 minute stuck situation.

Are there Setup Disks available for an OEM version of XP Pro? All I can find so far on Microsoft is Retail Setup Disks.
The computer still has a working floppy drive and yes I have empty working floppy disks so if there is a set of Setup Disks for Xp Pro OEM please let me know.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
Sorry if I posted in the wrong place.
