Sudden termination

Hello everyone, just wanted to post this here and ask for opinions regarding my current situation. I recently got laid off from my company and this is how it transpired:

1st December 2015
Received a meeting invitation scheduled on the 4th December 2015 via Google Calendar with my entire team (Technical), Regional Manager (RM), Director of Operations (DoO) and my boss (B). I immediately felt something was wrong.

4th December 2015
AM: RM met with everyone in the Malaysian office and told us that the company was still making a profit, and ensured us that everyone should be ease.
PM: B arrives in office after flying in. Got called in with my team to meet with RM, DoO and B to the conference room. Sat down and B told us due to sales not meeting targets, the company has decided to lay off the entire team. Ensured us it is not because of the level of our work. (I have recordings of this). We were given our December salary + 2 months compensation package. After the meeting, B spoke to me in private that he is shocked with the sudden decision and he only found out recently.

6th December 2015
I personally wrote an email to the CEO of the company regarding the move to lay off the entire technical team without any indication of a restructuring/reorganizing. He agreed to have a 1-on-1 meeting with me the following day.

7th December 2015
AM: I had a meeting with my CEO via web conference and addressed what I wrote in the email. He said that he was planning to close down the Malaysian office because it was not turning a profit. I told him that if that is the case, he should announce it, as it is a public listed company, and there are rules/law/regulations that needs to be followed when doing so, like: directors in MY office getting a pay cut, reduce allowance, and etc. He was dodging the entire thing, and all he was talking about was the other offices. (I have a recording of this entire conversation)
PM1: The Regional Sales Director (RSD) called my entire team and had a meeting with us, and asked us if there's anything that he can do to help us. So far, he is the only one doing damage control. My team pushed for 1 of us to stay in the company as he was getting married this month. (I have a recording of this conversation)
PM2: DoO messages me on GTalk, telling me that I should negotiate my compensation package to get 3 months or maybe 4 months compensation package. She told me that the other members of my team are also negotiating. She also said that "You did not hear this from me". My team members are very close to me, so I asked them and they replied that they have not negotiated with her and that they have not messaged her at all. One of them went saying "Do not believe anything she says". I replied to her saying that I will keep what she said into consideration, but I will also seek legal advice. She responded by saying that if I wanted my job back I should talk to B, if not negotiate for 3 months compensation or push for 4 months, take the money and run. (I have screenshots of this conversation)

I would like to hear your opinion on the matter and as to the direction that I should pursue with the above information.

Not trying to create a racing thread, but just wanted your opinions ....

If you were born in a family that practices no religion at all, would you still end up being a Muslim/Christian/Hindu etc ? Or do you subscribe to the notion that when you're born, you automagically become whatever religion you are based on your families religion?
