Hi guys,

Could u give some recommendations on upgrading my 5-years-old rig?

Current specs:
- Processor: Intel Pentium D 820
- Mobo: Gigabyte 945P-S3
- GPU: NVDIA Geforce 7300 GS
- RAM: Kingston DDR2 667 2GB + 512MB
- PSU: not sure, most probably is cap ayam brand
- Monitor: 23'' LED

I hope my new rig can:
- play 1080p movies smoothly
- [optional] play some games such as BF3, MW3, Dead Island (low graphic settings is acceptable)

My budget is less than RM700 (is it too tight? )
I'm willing to top up few hundred bucks if it is worth

Actually I plan to reuse the mobo, and just upgrade the processor, GPU, RAM, PSU...
Cuz it looks like I doesn't need a very powerful rig, right?
Is it possible to do that?
Or do u suggest that upgrading the whole rig is better and worth more?

Thanks in advance

[WTA] Streamyx 1st month bill

Hi, I got a question about the bill. Here is what charges are included in the bill:

(1) Deposit - RM75
(2) Setem - RM10
(3) Talian Telefon 4km - RM 18.90

My questions is:

I really don't understand about "Talian Telefon 4km" charges. Today I went to TM point, a staff there told me it is the charge of fixing telephone line. She said it should be RM25, but it haven't reach one month yet, so it charged RM18.90 only. She also said it is normal, for first month only... She talked a lot but I still don't understand... So, hope anyone can explain to me

My package is streamyx combo RM60. I have paid RM30 before for wiring charge and I didn't ask them to fix any other wire or telephone line.

Sorry for my poor english, hope u guys understand what I mean. Thx

Hi guys, I just subscribe streamyx combo 1mbps at the beginning of this month. However, due to some problems now I wish to downgrade it to 384kbps. May I know that can I downgrade it now? or have to wait at least 1 month 1st?

Streamyx Connection Problem On Windows XP

Hi everyone, I got a very weird IP (2.2.2.35) after i had connected to streamyx on Windows XP. The connection is set up manually and my laptop is connected to TM riger modem only. I think there should be no mistake on setting up a connection to streamyx because I have followed the TM Guide. Anyone can help me to solve the problem? plz...

[WTA] Streamyx combo for new TM Homeline customer

Hi everyone, I went to TM point this afternoon to register a streamyx combo 1MB package and TM homeline at the same time. The TM staff there told me that I need to pay RM30 for wiring charges when they come to my home to set up the wire. But my home got telephone wire already and my friend told me that it should not require wiring charges anymore. So, now I'm confusing that I need to pay for the wiring charges or not?
