Wireless modem router can't surf net thru wifi

Can someone please help on the below issue which i'm facing? Thanks very much

Currently i have just got a dlink wireless modem/router model DSL-604T from my friend. This is very old modem/router. After setting up the modem/router, i could connect to streamyx via direct LAN cable from router to my home PC.

When i tried to connect via wifi on my notebook, i could connect to the router but i couldn't surf the internet. May i know whats the problem? I could suff the net via my mobile phone via wifi to the router. So now is it my notebook wifi got problem or the router configuration got problem?
