greetings..

i wanna buy a house (not new) , priced at 170K by the owner (not evaluated by bank yet)..

this is my situation and question :

1- shud i chose islamic financing or conventional, by looking at the current economic 5 years ahead.
2- any agents here wud like to offer me good rates?
3- normally, ho much is the processing fees and lawyer fees?
4- can i get my epf to pay for the down payment ?
5- any other thing that i shud know other than my question above?

guys.. i'm going to tioman on 1st week of march with my spouse..

which resort do you prefer?

fyi, i've been to Panuba in 2008, it was great but i dunno how it looks like now coz been 2 years already.. privacy there is unquestionable during that time..

and also, last nov 2009 i went to genting damai resort.. it was great, but for families with kids.. i dont think it;s great for couple..

any of you couple had been to tioman can recommend me this this time where shud i go? will be there for 3 nights..

oh, we just wanna chill out there without snorkeling/hardcore activities.. just to relax, refresh our relationship, read books on the shore, and nothing else..

oh and budget is not too tight but not too much.. i think max 600 for both of us during that 3 nights stay...

please let kme know which kampung and which resort shud i go to/shud i avoid?

3gs starts to fall into pieces

hi.. i own a 3gs for abt 7 month now and my warraty will be over in december 2010.

the prob is that the voume up/down switch at the left side (nearby the silent mode switch) had fallen off form the casing. wonder if this is covered by warranty or not.. and not to forget that i dunno where to fix it, at the machines outlet or Apple HQ (KL)? coz i bought it off my friends hand and dont have the maxis reg card anymore with me.. btw, my iphone is m'sian model.

anyone know how to diy fix it or how to claim the warranty? thanks !

I think this issue does not only related to Malays couples, but also Chinese and Indians ( easy to say, Malaysians)..

Damn, when i was trying to figure out how much should i have to get married and how much I already have, seems that 30K is still not enough..

I was like "What the hell man.. Why the cost of marriage is like astronomical high? F*CK the tradition !!

imagine.. to get married 1st you've gotta get engaged..i dun mind getting engaged but nowadays, engagements ceremony (since when got ceremony??) oso costs money..

then, to get married... you gotta spend for :

-'hantaran' .. now become absurd the amount.. if got degree, must be more than 7K.. got diploma, rm5-7K.. masters?? RM 10 K ??? ok, this is ok .. i'm still thinking that this is like a gift to the bride's parents for raising her up..

- reception.. minimally, got 300 people.. okay, like this.. 1 ppl = RM13.. 300ppl? = RM3900.. ok, but that's for 300 ppl... u got friends, families and your parents friend.. normally will raise until 1000 ppl. (esp malays laa).. chinese oso xpensive.. u invite 50ppl, go to restaurants (1 head= rm50).. RM2500.. and that's the minimum no of ppl..

- GIFTS .. what, 7/9 trays for malays.. this oledi costs like 1-3K.. damn..

- gifts for the invitees.. haiyah.. this one oso need to give ka? stupid malaysians custom lah .. u give away paper bag, inside got mug, got mini calendar, got flower lah.. in the end? most of them goes to the trash can.. i admit this coz whenever i got the gifts, no where to put or no USE if i keep.. see?

- photography ..ok, this is essential.. rm1000-3000

- venue for reception.. rent the city's hall.. min RM1K/day..

- ring.. this is essential too.. rm1000...

-stage / pelamin = rm2K

- shirts (new) for both couples.. rm1K min..

- make-up.. argh...rm2K.. (and this is the cheapest make up by 'aww' pak-andam.. mak andam? --> RM2K ++ ..stupid make up oni..

.... count all those above... = RM20900.00 (and that's minimum)...argh.. stupid custom and tradition ..

i havent count the cost of going to the bride's place(with families), honeymoon, getting a house after marriage.. and no wonder why nowadays got so many divorce newly weds .. because not enough money after married.. haha.. all money spent for the 1/2 days reception.. hoho..

so if i'm getting married, i'd do this just to cut cost and to LIVE after reception day..

- reception oni for close families.. (less 100 ppl, and cook ourselves lah.. cost = RM2K tops).. ok, ppl need to know that me and my spouse alrdy married, just put the ads in the newspaper.. get a full page, oni few hundred..
- no pelamin/stage thingy.. cut 2K
- gifts for invitees = none as oni close family members are invited.. cut rm1k
- make-up : oni rm300 coz simple wedding.. no stupid 'show off your bride to the others' at the reception...cut 1.7K
- venue , still at the hall ..
- all are = RM14200.00 .. well, sound logical and affordable..

now i can spend the rest for my honeymoon, move to a new house, basic needs for us and live happily ever after.. without the headache of MO LUI... hahaa

Prelude or Lancer?

hello,

1st, intended to buy a prelude 92/97 , mileage 160K.. but then, the car condition (interior) is kaput. the steering's button already fell from it's place .
however, it have big vtec H22A engine..

few days after that, my friend who is migrating (maybe september, 50-50) to saudi want to let go his Lancer (convert evo 9) at around RM64K..
it's using 1.6 auto engine, and the rest u can see here..(milegage 87000km)

how to get a good perdana car? i heard some my friends use it and got many prob, and oso got friends who use it and it is no major problem..

is there any tips to which year perdana is advisable to buy (good production year), and how to check on the car itself?

btw, my budget would be top 40K ...

and v6 or not, is there any big diff in that? hw abt the road tax?

i wanna buy a new car for meself. but looking at the time now, it's almost hari raya (on sept) and hari merdeka (31 august). like yestesyears and before, there'd be promo for cars from proton, toyota and naza. but ths year, i haven't heard anything yet.
i did ask SA honda at jb, the promoter said there's no promo for new city as it was launched this year and still new in the markte. for proton, the promotor also don't know when the promo would be..

if any of you guys heard anything abt the promo, could you please, please let me and other forumers know?

Hello guys,

i'm in the process buying a new car for me. i'm single, working, and drive gila2 (laju2, tibe2)..
currently, naza are having promotion on 2 cars :

1- naza bestari (peugeot 206)
2- kia spectra5 (some says it's cerato)...

so, i did research and found out that 206 FC is ~0.13/km and dunno how much for S5.
my question is, if any of you had test driven both car, please let me know which is better for
60%city drive,40% hway drive..

Dear All,

I'm planning to buy a console. It's been a long time since i own a console and
i feel that it is the time again for me to have one of those.

The problem is that i kept hesitating on which console to buy? lots friends suggest
xbox360 is good the processor is fast and no laggy. i oso have friends said that
ps3 is better graphics...

so i end up with no conclusion..

btw, i made a little research and found a 2nd hand ps3 (rm1.2K) only white color..
for xbox360 is rm1.4 (include modified)..

guys, suggestions pleaseee???

guys..i have a prob here. my hp is se v600i.. one day, i remove the sim card and swap to another sim ..then, i swap back the previous sim card..the problem is, my se v600i won't start..
when i check the battery, it's still ok..i oso try with another battery, but still can't start..
when i insert the battery, the light(aka flash) have a bit 'blink', and the screen oso blinks the pixels, but no light at the screen..
what can i do to solve this? i dont wanna go to repair it at shop, coz it would be too much xpensive..plzz..help me ;(
