car squeaking sound

hi sifu all,

My car has squeaking sound. The following are my routine and the problem i faced :-

1) car has totally "cooled down". (for example, idle for more than 4 hours)
2) start engine and switch-on the fan only to blow out the hot air in the cabin ( i.e. does not switch on the air-cond yet)
3) after 1 minute or so, switch-on the air-cond. High-pitch squeaking sound starts to appear
4) engage gear to D and car starts to move slowly. Squeaking sound gets louder
5) after moving about 1km, squeaking sound disappear.
6) stop the car by pressing the brake, but leave the engine and air-cond switched-on. High-pitch squeaking sound re-appear
7) while the car is still stopping by pressing the brake and engine still on, switch-off the air-cond. Squeaking sound disappear.
8) while the car is still stopping by pressing the brake and engine still on, switch-on the air-cond again. Squeaking sound re-appear.
9) with the engine and air-cond still swithced-on, engage gear to N. Squeaking sound disappear.
10) with air-cond still switched-on, engage gear to D again and drives. Squeaking sound re-appear.
11) after moving about 1km, squeaking sound will disappear.

I have sent the car to mechanic. He said need about Rm500- Rm600 to fix. But couldn't understand his explanation as I'm a noob in cars. And I don't really trust that mechanic. Therefore, would like to seek a 2nd opinion.

Car model: 2004 Inokom Atos
mileage : around 100k
Car Service record : every 4 to 5 months or so.

Question :
1) what are the possible causes of the above squeaking sound?
2) how to avoid it in the future?
3) what are the dangers if it is not fixed?
3) is the mechanic fees reasonable? if NO, what is the normal fee?

TQ all
