interests earned from Fixed Deposit is taxable?

I recently opened this eFixed Deposit at Maybank.

I just realised that the interests is taxable (as per the screenshot, you can also read it in the link above).
Sorry, I'm no expert in this but I thought interests earned from fixed deposit is not taxable previously. Is this something new?

Is this only applicable to certain banks?

Technical VS Managerial Dilemma

i don't know if there are better words to describe the roles.

basically I have been struggling with this question for quite some time.
i always see myself to enjoy getting hands on in completing tasks.

one day, I had a conversation with a friend, to know exactly how long do you see yourself to be technical (hands on) in handling tasks before upgrading to managerial (like a Project Manager for example)?

i told him, i wanna be technical until forever? but i'm still in dilemma

does anyone actually prefer technical all the way?
or do you guys prefer managerial positions?

Extra note: Hands On means technical work. I'm unable to update the poll answers.

Penang traffic jam

got traffic jam at jln sg pinang area and jelutong expressway because the traffic light went off due to power shortage.
apparently a TNB power plant/whatever u wanna call it, caught fire and caused these massive jam along the stated roads.

Losing neck fats

I've gained a thin layer of fats behind my chin. Is there any possible way of losing fats at the neck part? I've heard that tilting and turning the head from left to right and upward and downward helps in losing fats on the neck, is it really effective?
