Hi guys,

Do you guys know how do I setup the Unifi default router Dlink WBR-2300 as a wireless range extender. My house is 3 storey and the 2nd storey is pretty much a dead zone with little or no wireless access at certain points.

I am not using the router as I have an Asus RT-N16 as the router since it can handle me and my wife heavy usage - video con call much better than the default router.

Hi Everyone,

I would llike to ask if anyone has any experience with the following situation:

Deverloper : Horse Star (Mxx Sxxx)

I have moved into my new house and it has since been 18 months since vacant possession. No fibre nor there is any telephone lines available.

Querried with Deverloper and the reason given was that our housing project only has about 120 units terrace. TM does not want to come in and lay the final cables unless they get 50% Application from the whole area. Developer insist that they have done their part in preparing all the ports just waiting for TM to come in with fibre installation.

After numerous attempts by the JMC to recruit application they could onlu get 30% of the 120 units. Mainly because only about 50% of the houses are occupied and even then not all are applying.

I dont understand whose responsibility is it to make sure the connection are installed. I dont care if it is copper line or fibre but at least a telephone line should be in place. Many of us tried wireless broadband but the signal in our area is not stable regardless of which telco you apply to.

Any Taikors have some insight on this situation or experience on how to solve this?

The chairs you wont be able to notice whether it is new or old. See pictures for more information

Wall Mounting Rear Speakers

Hi guys,

recently I just moved to a new house and am trying to fix my old Philips HTS3366 home theatre system up. I encounter two problems with the rear speakers:

1. The design are meant to be mounted on stand and if I wall mount the speakers use just a screw the speaker will look ridiculously long hanging from the ceiling. I tried looking for some horizontal wall mount but didnt know where could I get such device if it exist?

2. As you may know phillips uses a special plug in for their home theatre system, i am trying to connect them to the wiring which was concealed in the ceiling. Trouble are the wires are very thin and on both ends so trying to cut of the pvc layer is quite difficult even with a plier. Anyone has such experience?

Strata Title Cannot Renovate?

Hi Everyone,

My family bought a unit at the Mah Sing Perdana Residence 2 few years back when they launch. After years of waiting we finally got our keys (although somehow they manage to handover vacant possesion without water and electrical supply). Problem started when we tried to do renovation to the back kitchen.

According to the developer/management office, at this moment because the strata title has not been issued we arent allow to renovate any part of the house at all. Even when we plan to just build a wall to close up the wet kitchen is not allowed. They blame the MPS for it but we arent sure and quite annoyed. Is this possible and correct?? Does anyone have any experience on this matter and can help?

Any other owners reading this thread facing same problem too ?

As our house now already too small, we need to move to the new house ASAP. This delay of renovation is quite inconveninent. Furthermore a new little one will arrive soon so makes things more pressing. Very disappointed with Mah sing which can hand over a house just like that....

Help Needed - Folder Unavailable

All Sifus out there,

I just recently bought a Asus RT-N16 to replace my Unifi Router. I am using a Buffallo 500 GB connected to the Router and using the Asus Download Master program to download BT files onto the HDD through the RT-N16.

After downloading the files I can open the files through the router without any problems. Problem happens when I disconnect the HDD and plug it in other Laptops, the downloaded files and folders are unavailable. After running disk check, the files totally disappear all together.

I am left puzzle with this. Any one knows and can help?
