MBP cannot boot after disk repair

Hi all
My MBP was working fine this morning. It is not until i try to restore my bootcamp partition to all Mac partition. The restoration with Bootcamp went ok.

Then i decided to run disk utility from OSX installtion disk. Performed disk verify on internal HD and it failed to verify with error and then i try repair and that also failed.

After that i restart OSX using HD internal and that when it can boot up. During booting up, i see the Mac apple logo with wheel spinning for some time and then i poweroff.

Panick now.. what shld i do??? i can disk boot up with the installation disk. Anything i can do save my data???No backup? Can still do restoration.

BTW, when i boot up with installation disk and run disk utility, i can still see the HD?? Just cannot boot from there...???

Anyone pls help...

Dual display with MBP

My MBP is the more than 1 yr old. It is the (2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) model.

Recently i have a Samsung LCD TV (full HD) which i want to connect to my MBP to have dual display.

My MBP came with a i think (DVI to VGA) connector. So i connect the DVI to MBP and VGA with VGA cable to my LCD TV.
However no display on LCD TV. It says "Mode NOT Supported"

How do i get it to work. Do i need some additional Hardware or software? What am i doing wrong?

If i have to buy something. I would rather buy a DVI to HDMI instead of VGA, so i can connect to HDMI input on LCD TV? Is that possible

Vista 64bit with MBP

Hey Mac friends..
I have recent upgrade my hdd of mbp to 500gb.. so need to do bootcamp again.
So thinking about Vista 64bit for both bootcamp and virtual (VMwareFusion or Parallel, not yet decided)

Oh my mbp is the core 2 duo with 4g ram.

Any advantage of going with 64 bit vista or shld i stick with 32 bit.
Would there be any compatible issues with softwares

Good in value too. But must have FireWire 800 and 400 connectivity and USB of course..
e-Sata not needed..

NOT too expensive.. some can go up to RM400 just for casing..

I am going to upgrade my sorry 80GB original HDD to 320 GB HDD on my Macbook Pro.

Many of you have alredi done it. Pls recommend

1) which brand of HDD you used?
2) which Mac Shops did you send yours in for this?
3) which external casing you use for your original 80Gb HDD? Any ones with Firewire and USB connection?
4) how you backup your window vista OS and data? Or do you have to reinstall again.

I trying to copy a .MP4 file from my thumb drive to my harddisk. The file is 800+MB. And the error is
CANNO COPY <filename>: THE PARAMETER IS INCORRECT

Anyone know how to solve this problem

THe price here seems ok. Look Original but i am not expert..

Are these prices reasonable compared to KL..??

I came across a shop in Vietnam that sells Canon IXY 25IS.. and it seems like a good buy.. just want to confirm the shop is honest..

He said
1) IXY 25IS is equivalent to Canon IXUS 85IS in japan? true?
2) Price quoted is USD 280 (no memory card) (~RM900) just the camera? How much a IXUS 85IS selling in Malaysia??
3) He bought from Japan.. He has warranty card fr japan to show for it. Only 6mths warranty from his shop?

Hey guys

I want to get an external headset/microphone for my MBP for VOIP (skype)

At 1st just thinking of a simple external plug-in (mic in, audio out). But friend suggest bluetooth headset.

Which are one you recommend.. Bluetooth or no?

If bluetooth, which one (reasonably priced) you recommend.. hopefully can also work with any mobile phone and Window Vista on my MBP. of course VOIP too.

If not bluetooth.. which one you recommend???
