[Help] Wifi coverage is too weak in new house

Problem details
Just moved to new house recently, WAG200G unable to provide full coverage for my new house (20x70) due to poor signal. This causes that wireless devices from second floor's rooms unable to connect to WAG200G.

Possible solutions:
1. Use existing WAG200G as modem and connect to another new powerful wireless router. Thus, I need to buy a new wireless router. However, I am not sure whether this solution is feasible or not, I need the advice from experts here.
Good thing about this is the new router can be still used even after upgrading to Unifi or Maxis FTTH. I am sure new good router can provide full coverage to my new house.

2. Buy a new all-in-one ADSL wireless router to replace the old WAG200G. This solution will surely work. But I gonna upgrade to fiber soon within 2 years. I don't think this is good investment.

*Currently there not fiber coverage in my house, thus I can't upgrade.

I personally prefer the 1st solution if it works. I just worry that WAG200G is unable to share internet connection to the another router.
