Writ from bank : Claiming for debt Rm 200k

Hello all,

I know I should probably consult a lawyer or something, but I am not the one dealing with this, but a close family member that will affect the whole family down the line if not taken care off.

Today we received a copy of "Writ and Statement of Claim" for Bank loan of about RM 200k. Here is the gist of the summary that I think is important:

1) Need to enter appearance within 14 days >> This one obviously needs to do, no arguing that or else case auto default in favor of whatever bank requested.

2) On February Bank has decided to terminate the loan service and demand the whole amount that has not been paid: The defaulted monthly + rest of the balance of the whole loan (200k) ---> This one I'm not sure if 'that family member' receives the letter from bank or not and how that family member deals with it during that stage which I assume last month. I'm not even sure that person even give an ounce of effort to call the bank

3) If agree to pay everything, got a rebate based on T&C.

4) All costs associated with legal fees etc, need to pay.

5) Unlike any warning letters I've seen or am familiar with, this one does not include any sentence that gives you the impression that "this can still be negotiated, please call us" none, nope yadda. They just straight-up want their money back.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Question: I've search google for basic understanding and the implication of this letter in general like "don't ignore the letter" or "check if everything is true or not" or "if more 100k, bank can bankrupt you" bla bla bla. But I guess, the most important question that I needed answer the most that Google does not tell is "is this still salvageable?" Is this beyond what AKPK can help already? if AKPK cannot, then is this also beyond negotiation with the bank? I really wished that "that person" would able to negotiate to reinstate the monthly payment back (including pay any penalties, and amount defaulted to date).

I have no idea how long that person has been defaulting the monthly payment to get this letter, but if it is just paying the amount of monthly that not being payed thus far + penalties, maybe my family still have enough money. But if this is gone case already and need to pay 200k, well

TLDR: Family member got Writ and statement of Claim of 200k bank loan. How far gone is this case? can AKPK even help at this stage? if cannot, can we still nego with bank to reinstate the monthly loan service or not at this stage? I mean, how likely that we can nego with bank to pay monthly back? or this stage mean game over already?

New Alternator low charge under load

Hello all sifu.

Car: Viva auto 1.0
Problem: The alternator not providing enough charge under load and slowly killing the battery, but there is more to it.

Context:
About 8 months ago, I was recommended to upgrade the radiator fan of Axia put on my car (viva). He promised this will make air-cond cooler bla bla bla and I mean he wasn't wrong. Aircond more cool under hot sun and I like the sound of the fan now compared to the standard viva radiator fan. I can tell it draws more power and more air being blown. At the same time, I changed the alternator because the old one has started to overcharge and melt wires. So conclusion: Changed alternator + upgraded radiator fan Axia + New battery.

Fast forward 8 months later, my battery died. I charged it back using an external charger and then 1 month later die again. Today, I bought a new battery and multimeter to test the alternator output. On idle the figure is nice 14.2 -14.4 volt. Switch the headlamp it becomes 13.9, I think still okay. Then I open Air-cond (this will trigger my upgraded radiator fan to spin obviously) and the figure goes straight to 12.4volt. Then I tried air-cond On but switch off the headlamp and got 13.3 - 13.5 volt (which I assume still charging? albeit slowly right?)

Basically, the battery will be drained slowly if all equipment + lamp + Aircond ran at the same time.

What I want to know:
What do you think most probable cause? between the alternator or the upgraded radiator fan? The shop that did all this has gone bankrupt, so I need to go to a new place, so I just wanted to make sure I am saying the correct thing and equipped with proper knowledge before going to a new place. I know the absolute solution is just to change both, but If I can, I am willing to just change one of them since I think only one of them making the problem. So, do I first change the radiator fan back to standard? or change the alternator first? aduh pening kepala. I'm not sure if shop would want to entertain and experiment first 1 by 1 before finalizing the purchase though.

Second question: I really do like the upgraded radiator fan though. So let's say I want to keep that, does this mean I need to upgrade the Alternator to a bigger one or something?

Need some input from sifus. Thank you.

Buying Ipad m1 pro : Don't know what size suitable

Hello,

Planning to buy Ipad pro 12.9 M1 because the fastest android tablet in the world that I have right now just sux playing genshin + honkai impact game. But, iPad is pretty expensive, so I thought I could cut cost on the spec. Also, I don't play game with other devices (PC,console etc) as I prefer to play games on bed. This is my first time using Apple, I know nothing about them. Here some question:

1) is 128 GB enough? This iPad will only be used to install 2 games only and will only be use only for these 2 game. Probably will take 40GB for both. Nothing more. No productivity use, no nothing. But Also need to consider that I will store my gameplay recording and screenshots though.

2) Does it come with free charger?

3) Is it easy to transfer files from iPad to PC? I don't know, i got this perception from long ago that APple product only can connect with themselves xP

4) Malaysia got no dedicated Apple store like Samsung and whatnot? I cannot find Apple store like angmoh country.

5) If there is no Apple store, then do I buy from Shopee or Apple Malaysia website? I read from some user that their Apple product got delay 1 month? I may want to buy from Apple Malaysia website as I can get free engraving hehehe.....but scared if got delayed.

Hope Apple sifu here can clarify. Thank you ~

Help: I need mouse that last

Hello, need advice for mouse. Zero knowledge, don't know where to start.

1) I kept changing mouse for years because the clicker malfunction or the scroller busted. How is this possible? I'm not even a gamer. The one that lasted the longest is Philip mouse RM 50 that lasted exactly 1 year before the roller got busted. But even then, the clicker become not smooth after 3 month and I need to put oil inside lol.

2) I don't mind going for RM 200++ mouse, if they REALLY can last long and BIG in size. I think I am "palm grip" kind of user where my whole hand is in resting position 100% the time.

3) Here is the problem, all those expensive mouse, they are small in size and catered for 'gaming grip style'. Meaning, user that grip the mouse using "fingertip style" or "claw style".

4) Second problem, not many choices for WIRED.

5) Corsair Ironclaw is nice, but I would prefer that it had full size thumbrest. At that price, I prefer to have everything that I need.

TLDR: Basically I just need a goddam WIRED mouse that wont break for 2 years at least , robust clicker , scroller that can stand extensive use, BIG in size and preferably has full size thumb rest too.
Budget max Rm 250...but willing to go RM 300 if it has everything I want.

Thank you ~

Ergonomic Office Chair

Hello,

Need advice on an office chair. I got back pain especially in the lower area (lumbar spine) if sit too long. Going to a physical shop is not an option as I live in a small area, so it is expensive because no competition or kampung people don't update their prices according to the market. Bodyweight 57KG, Height 170cm.

Got 2 option

RM 555 (https://shopee.com.my/Ergonomic-Highback-chair-highback-chair-high-back-chair850hb-i.203757712.5243808606)

RM 1148 (https://shopee.com.my/Ergonomic-Office-Chair-Gamer's-Chair-Spine-Protection-Waist-Protection-High-End-Design-i.114090647.6131825259)

Both chairs almost have the same design. I'm looking for a design that will support my lumbar spine; hence why I only look for this particular design.

The difference of the RM1k chair is more adjustability (you can practically adjust everything; headrest, handrest, etc.) and the sitting pad has this U shape that 'I think" will force your butt backward, hence the whole body will lean & relax backward. I have a cheap chair before and notice my body 'slide' forward, making my back not leaning backward for proper support.

My only gripe about the 1k chair....well the price is already hitting my maximum budget, yet the chair has NO BRAND.

Please advise which one to go for or you may suggest any other chair within 1k (max) budget. Thank you.

Out of breath & winded after compound movement

Hello Sifu,

I'm a skinny guy trying to bulk up & have been training for 4 months.

At first, it was going fine until my muscle able to handle more weight.

On my 3rd or 4th set of deadlift & squat, I am so winded, out of breath, the heart is pumping too fast for my comfort, body felt light & cant feel my feet (same feeling if having low blood sugar or low blood pressure). No case of fainting yet as I immediately sit down (bracing myself, afraid I faint standing up).

On top of that, squat makes me want to puke too urghh.

Question:

1) What is it that I am lacking? Body endurance? VO2 max? Or low glucose/carb in the system?
2) How to alleviate this or improve this?
3) In the case where my heart pumped too fast and out of breath, what should I do? Move around? sit down? My body instinctively wants to sit, but I am not sure if that is the right thing to do.
3) Is creatine easy on the stomach?

My health background & other info:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

1) I have a weak stomach after an operation when I was 12. Now I have gastric, light GERD & can't eat a large portion of food.

2) My stomach condition is so weak that, the last time when I took Whey & weight gain, I got sick for 1 month. The doctor can't pinpoint which of the two causing it, so I trashed both (can pm me if you want them hahahaha).

3) Because of my stomach condition, I only do workout 5 hours after my last meal, or I'll be in a state of nausea / want to puke.

4) I did not do any cardio at the moment as I am scared of 'burning my calories'. It is hard for me to be in a caloric surplus with my 'not-so-steller-stomach' right now already

Wisdom tooth

About 2 weeks ago, I went to a dental clinic for filling and tartar removal along with asking them about this slight soreness on my lower left molar.

They did all the job, but not really address my molar issue except than just saying "Oh, just your wisdom tooth is about to come out". I did not question further as I haven't research about wisdom teeth at that moment.

Went back home & only then I know about these wisdom teeth. To my surprise, I already have 2 on my upper molar, but don't seem to remember to have any soreness when they came out. Not even sure when did they come out too, just know they have been there for a very long time

Question:

1) Does emerging wisdom tooth sometimes have soreness?
2) At what point should I have done x-ray to see whether it is on its route to be 'impacted'?

Google is full of info about "NOO!! wisdom tooth should be removed now!!!" kind of info. But I am confused, if wisdom tooth is usually 'dangerous', why my clinic is nonchalant about it

Mattress for better posture

Hello,

My mattress is 10+ years already. The middle part already sinking.

I have a rounded posture (upper back and lower back), not so great back strength (moping the floor too long can cause backache, driving 5 hours etc).

My body recently learned what is 'neutral spinal position' at the gym. It felt foreign as hell. Probably I am too used to being in a wrong body posture.

So, I thought changing the mattress is one of the few first steps among other things. But I know nothing about mattress materials that is good for good spinal health/position:

10" Synthetic Latex
https://shopee.com.my/*Factory-Promo*-Singl...8424.5242107438

10" Spring Matress
https://shopee.com.my/(Premium-Edition)-Dr....3158.1942044119

Got synthetic latex lah.....spring one....rebonded foam....memory foam

No idea which one to go for.

Gearbox: Overhaul vs Halfcut (Toyota Passo)

Hello,

I hv Myvi 1.0 (2006, 250k km). 2 weeks ago it got towed because of failure in gearbox.

I sent it to Perodua & do expect a major overhaul to gearbox.

The foreman bring even more bad news when he said the gear oil was almost empty and everything had alot of wear and tear. Even if we overhauled it, it will not be 100% tip top & will produce humming noise at high speed. The foreman gave below option:

1) overhaul gearbox
Price: rm 1886
Pro: I still retain 'ori' gearbox
Cons: will produce humming noise, questionable reliability as not all parts can be replaced.

2) Halfcut (Japan's Toyota Passo)
Price: rm 600 (after trade-in)
Pro: I don't know. No humming noise at least? Maybe cheap? But i dun care about the price tht much though.
Cons: felt like a gamble, i dunno how reliable halfcut is. Zero knowledge about halfcut.

3) perodua ori gearbox
Price: 7 - 8 k, obviously this is not a good option

So left with option 1 or 2. But I am not sure which option have more reliability in the long run.

Appreciate sifus' opinion : )

TLDR ver:
Gearbox Kaput, foreman gave 2 option.
1)Overhaul gearbox = Not gonna be tip top condition, will have humming noise , reliability 'may' be compromised
2) Take Halfcut gearbox Japan Toyota Passo = Don't know how good the condition is.
Question: Don't know which option that will give better reliability in the long run

Hello,

13 years that I owned a small bike, I've never tempered with this mysterious nut. Yesterday my friend (who i taught him how to DIY change engine oil), mistakenly opened the wrong nut on his bike while changing the oil. No oil came out of it,. The thing that came out was a rod, and spring. So what is that? Is it safe to just re-install it back just like that? (worried if it had a specified tension/clearance/torque that must be adhered).

Here is the pic (identical bike) :

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Update:

Installed it back for him as per suggested with no problem.
