wat to do with speakers?

hi guys,

Just wanna get some advice, i have an old sony home theatre system (dvd player with built in amp plus speakers, 5.1) but unfortunately the player/amp unit is no longer working hence rendered my speakers useless without the head unit. Repairing the player/amp is out of the question as it will not make financial sense due to the fact that it will be too expensive.

As the speakers are still working, i would like to explore re-using them, but do not know how to go about doing this. Can i just get any av receiver so I could use them with my quite new LED smart TV? Do i need to "spec" the receiver according to the speakers' wattage/rms/etc?

Not sure what other info I need to provide for you guys to enlighten me on this? If there is do let me know I'll try my best to provide them.

looking for alternating light switch

Not sure wat tis call exactly but I saw this type of switch but unable to find anywhere.

It function llike this, first time turn on only the selected bulb will light but if on and off quickly the other selection will light up and if on off on off on again will hv other combination of light up based on wiring selection. Tis is for controlling multiple bulbs from one switch.

Hope anyone know where to get tis share with me. Tq.

Build 3rd floor?

hi, would like to hear from fellow forummer to see if anyone has experience building a 2.5th or 3rd floor, the space above family hall at 2nd floor area. I am not sure if i wanna go concrete floor or if there's any other better alternative? Wood/timber flooring?
