Wifi booster/repeater for Innacomm w3400v6

Hi sifus, am currently considering a wifi booster/repeater for the Innacomm W3400v6 modem router that Telekom provided ages ago for streamyx connection so that other rooms in the house which is far away from the modem can receive the internet signal.

Would appreciate any sort of feedback and recommendations

Anyone who has experience with wifi booster/repeater or have bought one before please feel free to comment and recommend too.

[WTA] Upgrading a Dell

Dear all,

After doing some homework and from the recommendation thread, it's very likely that I'm gonna get a Dell for my parents since it is said that they provide the best after sales onsite support in Malaysia and yes I would do my best to get it from a shop instead of ordering it online.

However the question is that I would want to upgrade the 4Gb RAM to 8Gb RAM and what is the best way to do it? As I checked an extra 4Gb is approx RM 150+- ? Also more importantly would I still be able to maintain the 3 year Dell warranty if the shop fellows help me to upgrade the ram on the spot?

Also I've seen you guys suggesting to swap the HDD to SSD. Any idea on how do it do this and how much would it cost? Again the warranty issue as above is also a concern.~

Iriver e30 vs Sansa Clip+

Hey guys, me and my friend are trying to get a mp3 player. I've been pondering around for a while and yea I know Sansa Clip+ is an amazing mp3 player for its price. Still somehow I could not find much reviews on the Iriver e30 itself so I was wondering if anyone who have used Iriver E30 before or have any sort of experience with it please share a few pointers please? In terms of sound quality perhaps

PS: My friend keep saying E30 has 52 HOURS of playback!!! ==

Hi guys, I'm planning to get my first ever set of speakers from the upcoming PC Fair and I'm having a hard time picking one out of these four choices:

Edifier E3100, Edifier M3300, Edifier M3300SF, and Edifeir M2300

I have already gone through (most likely) ALL of the existing posts ( and reviews ) which contain the above speakers so to say I have already gone through with the pros and cons of the speakers and also comments from existing users and not to miss out the few sifus such as Mr Edifier, nismo91, power911 and so on..( sry if i didn't list the other pros down XD).

My maximum budget would be of course M3300SF as it is the most expensive among the 4 listed.

Main usage for speakers are:
1. CASUAL songs such as westlife, Nsync, backstreet boys and such.. NOT CLUBBING HITS and ROCK TYPE MUSIC
2. Movies of course
3. Games: not a heavy gamer type, just dota, maple

Optional Extra info: I don't like VS4121's bass, too overpowered for me.

Doubts that I have in mind:

1. Not much good comments have been seen for M2300 from forum( I have read the HMW review ), thus I don't know how to compare it with E3100.

2. Quote from one of the posts: If you're a subwoofer person, go for E3100, If you're a satellite person, go for M3300. Since I don prefer Clubbing Hits, does that mean I go M3300?

3. Fyi I'm using a laptop (CQ45-145TX), my audio driver is only IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. So sound quality with either of the 4 wouldn't be that good, so go for cheaper speaker?

4. Which is more value for money? ( I know this is kinda subjective for everyone so just answer base on what do you think, this is gona be my 1st every speaker so of course I want it to be value for money)

That is all. Please kindly share whatever you think is relevant to clear my doubts and lastly chose which of the 4 speakers listed you think is suitable for my case.

CQ45-145TX run Vista Ultimate 64Bit?

I just bought my lappy CQ45-145TX yesterday from PC fair and now I'm trying to install windows.

Just wondering can my spec run Vista Ultimate 64bit? I've upgraded the RAM to 4GB.

Now my lappy failed to boot XP from the CD, I've set the first boot device to CD-ROM at BIOS. After I press anykey when the 'press anykey to boot from cd' message appear, nothing happens for a while then blue screen appear. Any ideas?

I'm thinking of partition my HDD to 3 partition, first is for XP 80GB, second storage 120GB, 3rd Vista 120GB. Is it ok to do so?

It was on the Star and I find the specs very interesting for the price. I'm going to get a notebook this coming KL PC Fair and what I
had in mind before this model was COMPAQ PRESARIO CQ40-134AX (RM 2300), CQ45-108AU (RM2800), CQ45-144TX (RM3200) , CQ45-128TX (RM3100).

Ok so I will be using the laptop mainly for studies and perhaps a little bit of gaming thus I want a graphic card in it.

CQ45 series does have protective impact resistant technology, fingerprint reader, HDMI and eSATA compared to CQ40.

Anyone would kindly give some opinion on which I should go for?
My dad's budget for me is at most RM3200 but being a good son I may want to save some for him too, thus I want the notebook to be worth the price I pay for.

What I want is value for money.
