Olympia (3018)

chilaxis — Mon, 04 May 2009 19:51:46 +0800

Hi all, just for observation's and learning's sake. Let's have a look at a break-out of a small-cap main board counter Olympia Industries Bhd.

Massive, massive spike in volume happened today and the price breaks through the resistance of 0.250.

From what I understand with the volume+price theory of technical anlysis, there is a chance of the direction/trend to continue after a break-out with massive volume. But anyone care to comment how we can mix this theory with the candlesticks, using Olympia's case today? Any experienced traders care to comment what is the psychology happening with the sudden break-out and with a long wick pointing upwards? What would have been your trading strategy at closing today?

My take: I would take it as a 55-60% chance of the price trending upwards in the near to medium term. Why the low probability is because of the long wick that signals that although the demand wanted to break-out, there is also supply/bear. Also because the trend line before the break-out is not longish. So, no trade.

So what is your take?

Then after we've all given our take on this, let's observe Olympia's price movement for the coming week/weeks.

Championship Gaming Series - DOA4, PGR for XBox360

chilaxis — Thu, 20 Sep 2007 13:54:27 +0800

Dear XBOX360, DOA4 and PGR fans,

I wish to bring to your attention regarding this tournament called Championship Gaming Series (http://www.thecgs.com/index.php?region=asia) that is happening soon at CineLeisure on 5th October. This tournament is gonna be covered by ASTRO.

This may be your chance to earn a $30,000 USD 1-year contract to be a pro-gamer

How it works is like this :

1) You join the Malaysian Qualifier tournament at Cineleisure Participation is FREE! All you have to do is to sign up at the CGS website.

2) Win the tournament in your category.

3) You will team up with the no.1 of other gaming disciplines (PC Disciplines: FIFA, CS ; XBOX Disciplines: PGR, DOA4) to form Team Malaysia

4) Team Malaysia will go against 5 other Teams from Singapore, Dubai, China, Korea, Australia in the PAN-ASIAN Finals. The format of this tournament is a round-robin league. Each individual discipline scores points for its team in this league.

5) If Team Malaysia to get into the top-4 out of the 6 participating countries, all members of Team Malaysia will be signing a $30,000 USD 1-year contract to be a pro-gamer.

6) Team Malaysia then head over to LA in December to participate in the World Finals, where you stand a chance to win $100,000 USD.

If you play DOA4, PGR on the XBox360 and reckon you stand a chance, make time for this tournament! This could be a chance of a lifetime.

For PGR, they'd be looking out for 2 best players to join Team Malaysia.

For DOA4, there is a MALE and FEMALE category, so if you know of any l337 gaming babe around who plays that game, ask her to go for it!

I have no affiliation with the organisers or sponsors, am just a passionate person about the local competitive gaming scene. All of the above info are info that I have gathered from the CGS website, or through gaming contacts and may not be 100% accurate, but it's almost there. Hope you can help spread the good news to your other XBox pals and get them to look at the CGS site.

Get yourself and your mates to sign up for the tourney before it's too late! And of course, practise
