My friend has a 30 y/o Merc & has some parts he is trying to source. I've asked my mechanic but seems they can't find it anymore.

Child seating your kids

Want to know realistically how most of you handle car seating your kids.

We’ve been diligently getting our first boy to use his car seat until now, he’s reaching 5 y/o. Our second is now also travelling in the car seat but whenever we need to travel as a whole family we find it a hassle to move her car seat over, install both into one car to travel.

At the same time we noticed at the kindy, some other parents / grandparents would let their 3 - 5 y/o sit in front without a child seat at the passenger side with them.

Wondering how the rest of you generally practice this, especially for those with more than 1 child. Do you guys make sure everyone is seated in their child seat? Don’t bother? Or just up to certain age?

Local Regulations for Drones

Hi all,

In this whole MCO, got interested in toying with Drones, but pretty unclear about the local regulations.

Any drone user able to point me in the right direction or give me some advice on this?

Quick googling tells me there are 3 categories:
1. Drones below 20kg,
2. Drones with surveillance capabilities,
3. Drones over 20kg.
Category 2 & 3 requires license. Am I wrong?

Does this mean that even if I get a toy drone that fits within my palm, I will need to get a license if it has a crappy camera on it?

Delivery Service the past couple of weeks

So, I just had my 4th failed delivery (2 poslaju, 1 gdex, 1 might be a mistake by the seller) over the past 2 weeks and am real upset. I guess during the CNY season the delivery man thinks he's on break even when he's at work?

I'm real upset because (1)the guards at our apartment have been very helpful in keeping our parcels for us and passing them to us when we see them. (2)Not only that, our apartment installed a PopBox last year so that any parcels can be placed in the box whether anyone is home or not. (3) I've been home or in the vicinity at the times that they 'Attempted delivery' - what a load of bull.

Here's the story:
1st delivery that failed was gdex - ordered from lazada. I received a Lazada notification to say the item was delivered but I didn't get any notification from the apartment popbox (I usually do when a delivery places the item into the box) and when I checked, guards didn't get anything as well. When back to the seller (idroNation), he said to file a refund request just to reject my request! I mean if you intend to reject my request as least check before you tell me to request a refund and resolve the delivery problem. But that's fine, just a small amount, I'll just let it go.

2nd and 3rd delivery by poslaju - they give me the same update - 'Delivery attempted. We found premises closed and left a Delivery Arrangement Notice'. I know this was a blatant lie, because at the same time, I was at right there waiting on location. No phone call. No updates. Nothing. And the next day I get this update 'RM0 Your Pos Laju parcel --- can be collected at EziBox @BHPetrol...' if I wanted an item delivered to a petrol station, I might as well go to the mall next door to handpick and buy the thing right?

My speculation is the actual working delivery guys took the CNY time off and delivery companies had to employ some random temporary delivery people who are just lazy and have nothing to lose so packages are being lost and misdelivered.

4th item was delivered but the wrong item was received but I suspect that is a mistake by the seller and I will resolve it with them.

I'm really disappointed with what is happening the past few weeks. Any of you guys share the same experience?

Where to repair old equipments

Hi all,
Recently tried to reuse parent's old setup, found that everything works fine - old epos speakers & adcom amp, except for the preamp (Adcom GFP 555 ii) the red indicator switches on but I can get any sound when I plug it into the chain.

Just wondering where around the PJ area I might go to for repairs or to check on these type of old equipments ?

Or would you guys have any ideas about the problem?

*edit - fiddled with the thing further and found that sound does come through, but at a very low volume, had to crank the knob up to max to hear very soft and distorted sound coming from the speakers

I have an old MS1 that I've started having a problem with, I've identified the audio jack to be the problem. Wondering if anyone here knows a good place to get the thing recabled or even just changing the 3.5mm audio jack if they'd do that.

Buying a Macbook

Hi, I'm considering getting a macbook at the end of the year.

What i wanted to ask was, whether there is a 'better place' to buy a macbook. Are all Mac sold at a standard price? because i know for PCs, some places would give discounts or give freebies and sort.

Also are there such a thing as student discounts when buying a mac?

Harddisc Freezes My Computer

Hi all,

My external harddisc used to function properly.
All of a sudden one day, when i plug it in, instead of loading the autoplay window, it just starts slowing my computer, and hangs some programs.
I think My computer is detecting the harddisc, because it loads the 'safely remove device' icon beside the clock, but i can't get into the harddisc itself. because autoplay does not load, and i normally can't get into 'my computer' because it hangs windows explorer..
Now I'm hoping some of you guys have a solution for me to maybe recover the things inside? or better yet, save the harddisc itself..
Or is my harddisc already dead?
