            <title>2.2.1 Update failure (Ipod Touch 2G)</title>

Have tried restarting the device a few times, restarting the computer (Windows XP ), and plugging it into various USB slots to no avail--all that happens is that when I plug it in to a &amp;quot;fresh&amp;quot; USB port the driver installs (I can see it for a second in the system tray), but then nothing happens. If I look at the device manager while it&amp;#39;s plugged in under the USB section the &amp;quot;Apple Recovery (iBoot) USB dDriver&amp;quot; is listed. I find myself not caring much about 2.2.1, any ideas on what I can try to get the iPod to back up in iTunes so i can at least restore it?</description>
