Need suggestions for home WiFi problem

Hi everyone,

My router is at living room but my PC is in my room which is one floor higher than my living room. I am currently using Unifi 500Mbps package and getting constant 75mb download speed. I have no problem with normal internet consumption such as watching videos and anime. However recently I am called back by old teammates to join their Dota 2 team so we started training. Since then I noticed lag spike as I am using wireless connection, jumping from 10ms to 200+ periodically, and it affects my training greatly. So here are my options:

1) LAN cable - is it practical to route it from my living room to room which is actually quite far?
2) Relocating modem and router - can I do it myself or must I call TM's technicians?

I will be happy to know if there are any better options than these. I don't mind spending some bucks into investing new devices to stabilize my connection. My router is not the default TM one but an ASUS router with 2 large antennas.

Thank you guys in advance, cheers!

This is the first time I'm paying for my own lappie, so I need some help from the communities =)

I need a spec that can game, at least playing Diablo 3 and Dota 2, but also can support at least 3-4 years of usage, so

a) What kind of spec do I actually need?
b) I'm thinking to get an Asus, but what brand will you guys recommend?
c) Where should I look for it, is Lowyat Plaza cheaper than any other sellers?
d) Also, any thing I should take note of when I'm shopping for it?

Thanks in advance !

EDIT: I'm thinking something around RM3k to 3.5k, possible?
No Alienware because of overpricing...
And Ultrabook is not good for gaming isn't it?
