INTI Experience Workshop - Try b4 choose

I feel need to share this as it is a good idea by INTI college.

I now in my career got regret and feel like quit/sabbatical leave/part time continue study, because I last time choose my course not so well.

"INTI Experience Workshops for young people who have just finished their SPM and are taking time to consider higher education. These experiential workshops are free and provide a great way for students to experience first-hand what it takes to succeed in a particular subject. They also allow them to decide whether that subject is right for them without consequence, assisting them in making the right choice of subject for higher education.

INTI Experience Workshops will be running in December 2009, with different workshops scheduled weekly. To find out which workshop you want to attend, just go to the workshop details page."

the website is here got all details

They cover business course, science subjects, english, career Xploration (if u not sure about wat to do - for those who always start thread like "Undecided studies), Engineering, Psychology, Communication, Chinese traditional medicine and IT.

If you can see and try what type of work you come out and do before you study something, then this might help you. A lot people want change line, or regret getting into something. It's big decision and will shape your life, after SPM onwards.

Cheers

Relation between study and work

I have seen and known some people who have regretted their decisions about their studies and eventually their careers.

For some people it's pretty simple.

Situation 1: There are those who studies accounting and come out, go into Big 4 and earn and be happy. Work like dog also nvm.

Situation 2.1: Some people study law, come out and decide it is not for them, then sell insurance, they're good at it and they happy. Situation 2.2: Some come out, not happy but just go through whatever it is. Slog every day. Money means little even though they have it.

Situation 3: Some people don't study in school, didnt go college, but just do MLM or own business and make money own big car and house.

Situation 4: Some go study engineering also but end up hating the job, envy people in advertising agency.

I guess what i'm trying to say is that the world is full of people who hate their jobs. Saying is if you love what you doing it wont feel like work. But realistically it's very difficult lor.

Have any of u felt like this before? What is the cause? Naive? Lack of guidance? Research? I'm sure real world =/= study (theory) but what can be done? Is age a barrier to changing the lawyer in situation 2?
