BSOD and "Cannot init d3d OR grf has problem."

Everytime I on my Compaq Presario V3000 laptop, there are chances that errors occur after I execute games like CounterStrike, Ragnarok Online and etc (Sometimes no errors - working normally).

Two errors I faced :
(a) If the game runs in full screen mode, laptop will just go into BSOD after a few seconds of executing, then auto restart windows.
(b) If the game runs in customized screen mode like 800x600x16, "Cannot init d3d OR grf has problem." will appear after few seconds. (no windows restart)

Both only starts happening after I replaced a 512 MB RAM (Samsung) with a 2 GB RAM (two 1 GB Kingston sticks - KVR667D2S5/1G).
High chance that the sticks are the issue here? Maybe they are not compatible to my laptop?

However, I can still play the games after a restart, if lucky; a couple of restarts if unlucky.
Shutting windows down and waiting for a few seconds sometimes works too - play games normally.
Probably it's a power issue? I mean like RAM stick doesnt get enough electricity supply?

The next day I on back my laptop, the cycle may or may not repeat again - either can execute games without errors or with errors.

Can anyone help me solve the errors? Thank you.

How do I read the words for the files in Minidump (C:\WINDOWS\Minidump)? I opened them in notepad but, they are in weird forms.

Added on : I remember last time I tested play game without errors with 1 GB removed, but didnt try out long enough for an error to occur Need 2 GB for the smoothness.
